Casper hid shields?? Please help!!!
I did a search but it wasn't very helpful but, I have H4 hids in my 99 civic now and i was wondering if I was able to use the casper shields on my car or are they only for bulbs that are not H4s. Also is anybody has pics of them being installed in a civic I would really like to see. Thanks
it depends on the brand of shield. some shields are shaped to fit over the h4 HID bulb, and sit between the bulb and the headlight housing. other attach to the base of the builb itself
Long as you keep you OEM headlights, the Casper Shields will fit with no mods.
I have a 1995 EJ Coupe and when I installed the Casper Shields with my Philips HID, I had to make sure that the Wire that keeps the bulbs in it place had to be force in. It's very hard, you might want to use a Needle Pliers to do so. But it'll fit for sure and you'll need to adjust the beam pattern afterwards.
It took me 3 days to get it right, but once you get it, your set for life.

Ok so you have a h4 kit for your car (jmk2888) and the shield fits with the h4 bulbs installed into your stock headlights? or do you have d2s bulbs in your car?

okay they do exist...but every casper shield I have seen for a HID bulb rebased to fit H4 has come with the kit. see https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=891888 & IS NOT SOLD SEPARATELY
EXCEPT HERE MAYBE - post here & ask this guy for just the shields IF POSSIBLE

or you can make your own with a thin tin sheet - see https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=544108 <--- i thought there was a more detailed thread --- you might be able to find if you search "HID" or "HIDs" but there are sooooo many topics to scroll through...NOTE if you make your own you want the length of the shield running on the Bottom Side of the bulb - this will cut off light that is directed upward...yes there have been some rocket scientist on here that place the shield over the top side of the bulb & were like "why is it still REFLECTING light above were the cutoff should be

i don't think there is a company that sells casper shields separately for rebased h4 bulbs - i have seen this (your question) asked before without someone providing an answer
or get OEM HID based bulbs (ie d2s/d2r) that will work with you ignitors & buy casper shields http://www.casperselectronics.com/
I bet jmk288 is running d2s/dsr bulbs - if you want to be sure just PM him
some related topics - with members you can IM to see where they got their kits

last but not least here are pics of my autolamps-online.com (same as hid-online.com) shields that came with my kit (hylow) You can't see it but there is a shield that runs the length of the bulb on the underside. hit the hi-beams & that shield splits & opens to the left & right (these are in OEM CTR headlamps that don't have the built in light diffuser USDM 96-00 civic headlamps have)

cutoff

all the answers were in archive topics .... & I am getting tired of searching for other people... in your case I searched "HID shield", "HID shields", "casper", "HIDs shield" ," HIDs shields" recent & archived topics...good luck & hopefully you can stop bumping this
good luck

I have a Phillips HID H4 kit but I took off the Shields that it came with. They're pieces of **** anyways, the Caspers Shields are so much better.
Yes, the Phillips Bulbs with Casper Shields fit, you have to force the Metal Wire that hold the light bulb in so it will secure the HID bulb in place.
