Default Does anyone know how to move the 94-97 ABS unit to fit the JDM HID ballast???

Like the title says. I've been looking for a way to do have the HID ballast go in with the 94-97 ABS system like in the pic below:
I did do a search and found not much detail on this particular setup. Most ppl just remove the ABS all together. Right now mine is wedged between the coolant reservoir and headlight itself like this!
(Ghetto-Style) Not my ride by the way... I know I'll be running in on some condensation problems later because there isn't a seal on the headlight since the ballast is mounted this way. Specifically, does anyone know if new brackets were made or just drilling new holes is required to achieve the necessary space and how to bend the ABS wires without damaging them. If anyone knows the owner of this car and/or any experience with this, I would greatly appreciate the info!! Thanks!!!

Crazy idea, but can you get the 98-01 ABS unit. Will that have enough room? Im not sure if you can easily sway ABS units..just an idea.

do you know how much work is involved in moving/replacing the abs unit?

As a suggestion, consider mounting the hid ballast underneath the lamps behind the bumper. it will require removing the bumper but this much easier than yanking the ABS lines. Think outside the box dude.

I thought about that earlier because it would definitely fit with a 98-01 unit, but I don't see why I can't use the original pump since it was done here.

Yes, it is a considerable amount of work to replace or move the ABS unit, but still I think it looks pretty good like in the pic. Would you know anywhere I can get the right wires to ove the ballast? I tried regular 10 gauge from radio shack but ended up melting the casing of the wires due to the high voltage, and sometimes the bulbs wouldn't work. I thought about using a PVC stopper to fit on the headlight and just drill a hole for the wires to make a seal for the headlights to reduce condensation...but I don't know where I can purchase the right wires in that case...Any ideas where I can get some??? ?

I don't have the JDM front end, but I did ask around about this once when I was considering the JDM front end.

One reply I got was to get a friend, unbolt the unit, measure how much clearance you need and just reef on that mother scruncher. Now, this didn't sound too reliable in my mind, but he moved it and inch or so (bending all the lines in the process) but everything fit and worked after he did it.

He just redrilled some holes and remounted the ABS unit.
