Default 12.5:1 daily driven ED hatch... almost complete!

Well, after months and months of saving for parts, gathering parts, waiting on parts, installing parts, etc. I am finally driving my car!

Many thanks to Owen (Owen the soyboy) for miscellaneous parts and all his help installing stuff, Bert-O for killer deals on tranny parts, Chad for a nice b17a bottom end, and Smoothy for an LSD in great shape for a great price.

The set up is:

ENGINE:

-b17a short block
-CTR pistons (.25mm overbore) ---> 12.5:1 compression
-PR3 head with "full race" p/p, 3-angle valve job
-ITR valvetrain
-CTR cams
-Skunk 2 intake manifold, port matched to the head
-DC sports 4-1 header---> high flow cat---> Greddy SP catback
-Skunk 2 cam gears (untuned... bling bling )

TRANNY/CLUTCH:

-b17a YS1 tranny
-ITR LSD.
-ITR clutch disc
-Stock b17 pressure plate (long story)
-Stock b16a flywheel

ECU:

-PR3 obd-0 ecu
-Apex'i vafcII

And the pics:

I know, I know... I have black bumpers. And they're staying!

Any questions/comments, feel free.

Thanks guys.

I've driven the car about 200 miles since Saturday, and have enjoyed it immensely. The car pulls real hard, but right now I'm shifting at like 7600 rpms because I have an automatic pr3 that cuts out at 7800, and I'm in search of someone to toss in my turboedit chip, because I have NO idea on little electronics-type stuff. Once that's in, I'll really be able to open her up.

Still, the car gets up and goes. I haven't launched on it yet, or really utilized the LSD with any corners or anything, but I'm sure I will soon enough.

The tranny shifts like no other... I love it.

Well worth the work and wait.
