Teken, you have no idea what you are talking about. We have installed just about every alarm on the market and the Compustar is by far the best. We (M&M Custom Car Audio) are the largest dealer for Compustar in the midwest. There is a reason for that, and it is because Compustar arguably has the best quality components in the industry. Also, why did Compustar win the innovation award at CES over all the other big boys like DEI, Code Alarm, Crime Stopper, etc.
If you have any questions please feel free to call us(M&M) @952-882-9237 or you can talk to Compustar directly @ 1-888-820-3690

Thank You For Your Time,

Adam

hey teken, i commend you for watching out for other h-t members on this forum and consumers in general i hate people that try to push products that don't work or can't live up to its claim.

i have a couple of questions for you, i like my alpine 8049 but would like to know what you think about the alarm. should i upgrade with another alarm or with a higher model such as the 8081? i have the alpine pager and don't like the limit to the distance so i'm planning on adding these security measures:

1. hoodlock
2. lo jack
3. 2 additional autolocks
4. back up siren
5. fuel pump cut off
6. and maybe the boot that locks on the wheel(s)

do you recommend any of these things and if so, what brands do you recommend for the hoodlock and fuel pump cut off?

i would appreciate your knowledge on this topic since you're a professional "thief" and all. j/k. thanks in adv.

Wow Teken!!! You are very informative. And I do have a few questions. Right now I'm running the Python 1500 on my Car....i'm sure you know what it has. But I'm selling the car. I'm getting a 01 Acura TL, and I would love the best for it. And I'm wondering what is by far the BEST alarm in your opnion? that has all the security and all the features you can simply ask for. I remember people doing "custom" alarms using parts from different companies...but I do not have the knowledge to install the alarm myself. I would like to, so I can hide all the equip.

What is the tools needed to install the alarm anyway? Let me know, I will be getting the car in a week. And I simply don't want to use the Factory Alarm. Thanks!

I am an installer at A@B SOund in vancouver b.c. and all that THis teken guy basicall said is true but i guarantee that if he tried to disable my install of a compustar he would have to take more than 30 seconds because he has probably only seen cars that have not been installed properly in the first place. Any way when someone comes up to me and asks my opinion on the compustar i will tell them that it is one of the best alarms and starters i have installed. compared to clifford no contest unless it is the new clifford that is actually DEI. So if anyone is thinking of buying a great reliable alarm an dcar starter the compustar is a great choise.

Awwwwww yes A & B sound... Is that as good as (insert sarcasm) Future Shop, Canadian Tire, and Visions Electronics??? LMFAO !!!! Please.... Spare me the idea that this POS device remotely competes with a real Clifford Alarm system or any other real security system on the market...

That is the biggest lie and plane in the face bull **** I have heard this month to date... WTF your some newbie who has seen this thread and decides to sign up and thinks you have any clout to say this is fact??? GET OFF THE CHEAP LAWN GRASS YOU HIPPIE !!!

FAWK.....

If you have even been an installer for more than 10 years you would not even have said that OK... Cuz that is just plane bull **** and you know it!!!!

PERIOD....

Would it take me more than 30 seconds to disable this device and your install???

No... It would take me less than 30 seconds !!! You may ask... WTF how does this guy know this??? Because (I) was on the design team !!! You aszz munch... It wasd a POS yesterday... It will remain ever so a POS tomorrow !!!!

Now to all those who want to buy this toy... Because it is just that... A very expensive toy... Please go right ahead... It's a free world....

But if your vehicle is so equiped with this device and I am the fortunate REPO man to disable it.... I will personally make sure that the entire system is toasted beyound repair... Not hard since it is made with level 2-3 electronics.... LMFAO

Regards

Teken<---Stupid TROLL's who sign up thinking their **** don't stink...

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You tell emmm teken!

I wrote to Compustar the other day and just got a reply from them:

Thank you for your interest in CompuStar auto security. It is true that we will be releasing a new third generation CompuStar line around the first part of next year. The new model will be based off of Spread Spectrum technology and will once again set the standard in two-way vehicle security.
The images you emailed me are for the 2000AS and a prototype that is not available in the U.S. Very few units were shipped and seem to have ended up in the wrong hands.
==============================================
What do you guys think??

good info teken. a lot of the things you mentioned are common sense things (not to discredit what you're saying) that a lot of people don't adhere to.

where can i purchase the ems siren? i have a 92 hatch. so a good place to install a strobe light would be on the glass part of the hatch? is this correct? thanks for your help again.

i have a box that has a few different sounds that you can change with a **** i.e. cop siren, ambulance siren, firetruck siren etc..etc... i am trying to figure out how to connect it to my alarm so when my alarm goes off it will sound off with my cop siren. And i am planning on adding a set of air horns too, dont know if its gonna work but its worth a try..

I'm not too concerend about my car being stolen.
It's the "haters" that I look out for - just some young punks that are jealous of your ride and decide to key the whole driver side to get some cheap kicks.

Those are the guys I wanna stuff in a trunk and push 'em off of Devil's Slide....
