No. They are a really good camshaft. Good choice for a all-motor daily driver, I say.

I've been running Sk2 St2 cams for 3 years now. Best cams I used!
IMHO, they are the best cams for the money, plus you don't have to buy an over priced valve train!
I'll continue to use them in my 2.0 when it's finished.

People just don't have the right stuff to run theses cams because it boogs out for a stock motor.

my old setup:

189whp ctr cams tuned
207whp skunk2 stg2 tuned
nothing else changed.
18whp just cams change. BIG difference.

Can't go wrong with the stage 2's when mated up with a good compression and valve springs.

there is no "ideal" CR. More CR equals more power, just make sure you can yune it on the type of gas you plan to run

qwik q's: has any one went from s2s2 to s2s3 on the same motor, no changes besides cams, if any one had the comparison on paper or even just some inoput that would be cool, that could help a ton of people that think that the stage 2 might be mild but the stage 3 just a tad bit wild, I myself included, i realise they are for entirely different apps. but just a comparison on where they make power and how they differ through the power band could help a ton of people "stuck in the middle"
