Re: Testing waters: 92-95 Civic HB JDM Gathers Rear speakers (slowhatch4now)
I bought them since the seller said that they would fit. But I don't have a hatch yet so I can't confirm for sure.

No they don't. You need the JDM rear panels to use this speaker set up.

Thanks for the info, maybe you can help out some more. I've seen two different styles of rear speaker panels one thats longer than the other.
Shorter panel
Longer plastic panel

I've never seen the first ones before but I'm 100% positive the second ones don't fit without the JDM panels. I've gone through 3 EG hatches and had the USDM rear speaker kit in all 3 of them since the JDM ones didn't fit.

this is 100% not true!
The ones you are selling fit all USDM 92-95 hatch's with no problem... i have them in my 92 Si right now... there are 2 types one that fits only the JDM rear panels and then the ones you have... not only do they bolt right in but the plug right into the harness you already have on your car...

Re: Testing waters: 92-95 Civic HB JDM Gathers Rear speakers (PhAtBoY Si)
Thanks for the misinformation.
BTW yes they do work! I've had mine sitting around for almost 2 years and just finally put them in. Took me awhile at first cuz I thought I had to remove the plastic wall panels to install, but after donig the first one realized that you dont have to do all that. Just pry off the US speaker cover (carefully) and remove the old speakers. Slide in the new and bolt em up. You should reach inside and connect the harness though before you screw it all down. Snap the Gathers speaker grille on and now you got beats for the people in the back seats too!
