Default Can blow off valve go off while reving?

I heard a 96 Supra with a HKS blow off valve go off just reving in park. Why can't my Honda do the same or can it?

why would you want it to. thats really gay and annoying when people sit there and rev there cars to hear the bov. now go sit in your car, press the gas and see if you can hear it .. then you'll know if it can do it or not.

most honda's dont blow off in neutral. i've seen a few that do, but it's so slight and you usually have to rev pretty high for it to be audible.

why is that though? Is it just b/c they dont let in enough air? I dont do it, but wonder why some cars can and some cars cant.

turbine size vs. engine size is pretty much the only factor assuming the bov is functioning. (big turbine = harder to spool with no engine load) most factory turbo cars have relatively small turbos and bigger engines compared to honda guys that is why dsm or supra can sound so cool without actually accelerating.
While blowing off in neutral is quite gay i still reccomend you do it a lot when you are alone. that way you will know how cool you are by how loud it is.

If you can blow off in neutral that means you have a tiny turbo. So the guys that sit there and rev to hear their blow off valves are not only stupid, their pussies.

what do you call a guy with a 57 trim stage 5 t3/t4 making 200 whp then? At least the small turbo guys can auto-X AND drag race.

I got tired of that question "hey man, rev your engine and pop your blow off valve". It is pointless i think

... or just have bigger displacement motors that flow enough exhaust gas with just parasitic load on the motor.

most of them turbos a small...thats y they get a loud sound. weather u know it or not...it's still blowing off .....go under the hood and rev it with ur hand, u'll see. it all depends on turbo size and type of blowoff valve u have. my DD Blitz doesn't make much noise free reving, only when i do my 2 step is it very audible or when driving.

Thanks for the Feed back. Turbos are great! this is my second Honda and I put the turbo on as soon as I got it. I will never drive a honda without a turbo installed.

But, the only reason I ever concidered getting a turbo was for the BOV. That sound is the best sound you can get from a car next to a tuned exhaust. ***** I like it too. I eat it as well.

BOV cost over $200 (over priced if you ask me) why not enjoy the sound since you paid so much for it anyway?

I had the Blitz it was loud and cool sounding, but the HKS more of a tuned sound as well as distictive.

60 is just to big, I guess I'll get a smaller trim so I can here my BOV go off while reving in Neutral.

Well I can see the point....like if you see a few friends on the street just rev it up a lil and blow off instead of beeping or something.
