I don't mean to bring your hopes down but I don't think 200whp is possible without changing your pistons/upping the compression ratio.
I'd like to see some 200whp gsr's too.

200whp is possible with the right parts, without touching the block or pnp the head. Just have to find the right parts to compliment each other. No bench racing

An engine works as a complete system, you can't just pick a part and throw it on...
Choose your parts so that they can work with each other as a "System."

There are plenty of 200 hp gsr's with that stuff alone. You can pnp all you want and raise the cr all you want to but its not going to give you 200 without some cams to take advantage of that flow rate
back in 2001 I sold a handfull of gsr and type R engines to customers that all made just over 200-204whp and as much as 138.9lbs of tq.. Every one of those motors were using stock oem bottom end. besides 1, that we put in std bore ctr pistons. that one made a bit more and ran a little stronger.. All the cars ran deep into the mid 12s in full bodied street cars. and ofcourse was on pump gas. 91 octane.

What type of work is done to the p72 head to achieve this? What are they tuned with? 200 whp on a stock GS-R block sounds mighty nice...

My set-up was Standard bore(81mm) gsr block,AO P73's,Ported head(big) Jun 3's,GSR manifold(NOT stock) Ericks throttle body(68mm) P28(skunk) VAFC and a hot-shott header.Engine made 217 hp with 141.7 tq and traveled 11.91@113 in a 1870lb EG.
