Did I get screwed? PLease check pics, I was sold a CRX WW kit for my hatch.
Hey.
About a week ago I met up with a guy on a Local board to buy his WW knock off 6 piece kit. He goes on and on about how it was hard for him to get this kit, and they had given him the wrong sides and he had to drive 1.5 hours to get them again blah blah blah.
The kit was new, never installed, I even tried to get the price knocked down 25$ and he said no because it was such a pain for him to get.
Keep in mind that in PM's, I asked him if he had a Hatch, because I have a hatch I am puttin this on. He said yes and commented on how well it will look on the hatch etc.
So I buy it, bring it home.
today I go to try and fit the front bumper...look at the pics and see for yourself.
This is how you can tell that the stock bumper is higher/longer then the WW one.

Here is the Drivers side mounted to where it should go, notice the huge gap there? I figured there would be fitment issues beeing a knock off...not this bad though.

Now, here's the passenger side as a result of the drivers side beeing at the right spot.

I have the crash foam removed, as well as the mounted bar thing that has the holes to mount the stock bumper.
If I remove the bumper bar...maybe I can get it to fit, but it's obviously not the right one.
And here is the kicker I noticed after all this crap....

That Piece of **** little punk kid.
What do you do in this case? Ask for money back? Beat him the **** up? Torch his car? Talk to his Parents (18y/o punk is who sold it to me)?
I have never had bad luck buying from paid members of this local club.
Please let me know that you think. I want to triple confirm before I continue with this.

Seriously, I don't want to hear **** about beeing rice, or keeping the stock bumpers.
It costs me less to buy a kit, then to buy replacement panels for my car.
Not to mention, I like the WW kit.
Not to mention #2, the car is beeing painted flat black, and is going to have a built D16A6, Turbo.
Not to mention #3, this car is not rice at all and will be attending all the track events this summer up here, both road course and drag.
Not to mention #4, JDM front end is RICE. I don't give a fuking rats *** what the **** they had in Japan as a ******* front end on their ******* Civics. I live in Mother ******* North America, I ain't JDM'ing **** all on my car.
Not to mention #5, WW = JDM front = Played out
Not to mention #6, I got my answer, Thank you, the rest, go back to your redneck boyfriends waiting for you back at the trailer park in their pink leather chaps.

Same thing happen to my bf, the kit he was sold on a local board was for a CRX. He fitted the front bumper w/ a few adjustments, and the back bumper fitted perfectly. The side skirts & caps, didn't have a chance. The caps fitted but the skirts were about an inch from fitting
I say ask for your money back, if not sell it on ebay and beat his @ss.

YEAh, lol, good Idea.
The rear is the same, or it should be. I tried fitting the sides, it seams to fit however the door cap was almost an inch too short......
I PM'd him on the local board to try to rectify this issue. Even offered him the chance to buy it back 25$ cheaper then I paid.
If that don't work, the handy Seller Feedback forum will work well, and I'll just sell it and buy a real kit.

If you like ww kit why not buy a real kit? This is one of those times where people will say you get what you paid for and its the truth. BTW saying that you are building a drag/autocross car is great and all but suspension for both of those events would be totally different. If you like the bodykit thats cool props to you.
I think jdm is pretty stupid along with bodykits but that is just me.

What club did you buy it from??? And yes that kit is for the crx, the front WW bumper for the civ is different, you have to use your filler panel. I had one that I just sold for a CRX except it was white. I hope this isnt the same one, beacuse I cleary stated that it was for a crx. Where did you buy it from?
are the rear and sides for a CRX or Civic?
If the front is the only civic part I may be interested in it, I did a CRX front end conversion on my hatch.

I could have paid double the price I paid for a real kit...or, buy this kit and have slight fitment issues for half...Hmm, what would you do?
I was expecting slight problems, this is obviously not slight.
and I know drag/road course is different, but most daily drivers can do both, and I never mentioned cone avoiding autocross anywhere.

I got it from Half_Baked on Toronto Civic Club, I asked him for a refund, he refused. So I posted in the buyer/seller feedback, and he'll get his one day.

So what I have now, from the pics I saw of 2point2's CRX in this forum with the WW kit is that I have the CRX front, the Civic sides and door caps, and the rear...I think is the same for both?
So what the hell? I guess i would have to find a new front for a Civic and trade/sell this CRX front.
And I would sell the front, but only locally, I ain't shipping a front bumper for 100$.

The civic sides and rear are different also. The CRX wheelbase is like 6in shorter, and the rear bumper on the civic has a filler panel (like at the front) whereas the CRX does not.

So in that case, I for sure have the Civic Sides since they fit on my car. You can tell that the part to the rear of the door on the CRX is shorter then on the Civic.
I for sure have the CRX Front.
I'm not sure about the rear.
If I post pics of the rear...could someone tell me by just looking at it?
