B18b in a CRX or EF hatch easy?
I am just wondering how hard is it to put an integra LS engine into a ef civic h/b or crx. Which would fit easier and how hard would it be to make the engine fit. what mods would I need to make the engine fit?
Use a b-series mount kit, shift linkage, and an SI ecu, or a 90 teg ecu.
Thats it......or at least that is all mine is, and I am more than happy.

dont listen to phathead (lol J/K) any way the b18b is obdII and not easy to do and y would anyone use their stock si ecu on it, the injecters are different along with the distributer and also there isnt a resister box ur gonna loose alot of power by using the wrong ecu id recomend talkin to crxshark or stormin matt on superhonda.org in the crx forum they have done it and know alot about it and obdII

OOPs, I meant it is easier with a b18a, I have one with an si ecu(for now,...already in process of getting an 89 teg ecu), and it runs fine. I just want the teg ecu, to get the propper fuel curves, and not worry about leaning it out with a few mods.
y a 88 teg ecu that is a 1.6 the 90-91 is a 1.8 do u just not know the diff u can use the teg ecu for a zc not b18
and yeh the b18A is kinda easy compared to the obdII but thats if u get the 90-91 version which is 130 hp the 92-93 has 140 hp and is obdI they have different cams and different ecu programs but the 92-93 is kinda difficult if u are affraid of alot of wires u need to wire in the whole ecu and the engine

ive got the b18a blk with the b18b head inmy 88 crx si i have a 91 integra ecu and mine runs fine im doing 14.5@93mph in mine the swap was easy did mine in 1 night the only problem i had was gettin the motor in tight fit.if you have any ?'s email me ill try to answer them.but its pretty cut and dry
Urm, the B18A and B18B are practically identical. You can use any 90+ LS ecu you want as long as you have the corresponding distributor, injectors, wiring harness, etc.
If you use a non obd 90-91 ecu, and have multi point fi already, you can use the stock wiring harness.. and the ecu plugs straight in.

i would either use a 90-91 b18a which will plug into the Si's wiring very easily, or find a 94-95 b18B which is OBDI and just do the extra wiring for the obd conversion (for a link to the wiring instructions, go here: http://www.superhonda.org/board/show...threadid=82997 ).
the b18a swap is simple, you can do it yourself. the b18b swap is a little more work because you need to use a cable tranny (which does not come on the b18b) and so you'll have to change the tranny and then do some wiring. you can do it yourself but is more of a project.
