92 civic h22 manual rack and pinion? ( i searched)
you guys should know that when swapping the h22 in the civic, u no longer have a/c or ps unless u get the brackets but i decided not to. although i want the steering to feel better. i was thinking of getting a manual rack and pinion like the ones off the crx so the steering wont be so rough. the steering feels loose when i hit bumps. will the crx manual rack and pinion fit? what other model car can i get it out of? junkyards down here are pretty much scarce with honda parts anyone suggest a junkyard to go to in texas? thanks again guys!
You can either loop your rack you already have (like i did with my ls-t 4-door) or you can run a CX rack in your car (like I have in my h22 hatch)
I'm not familiar with Laredo, but call North Texas Auto Recyclers (in Lewisville) or Honda Heaven (in Arlington I believe)

i work here at the honda dealership in the used car dept. so i spoke to some people in parts dept. i can get a remanufactured one for 105 shipped with a 2 yr warranty from a local parts store. good price? is the 2 dr and 4 dr r and p the same?
well when you take of the power steering you need to connect the two power steering hoses together, otherwise it will be harder to turn and you will damage your steering rack.
That's what the loop is supposed to mean.

When you take out the powersteering you will have 3 ports coming off the rack. I plugged the middle one, and put a barbed fitting in the other two and connected them with a hose

keeping fluid in a system without the pump will make it harder to do also.....i've tried looping it and i've tried just getting rid of all the fluid and then capping the ports, and that way, you're not working against the fluid, it stays lubricated enough to not hurt anything, and it can't get moisture in there........
i think im just gonna go with the remanufactured r an p. i dont think that looping is good. sounds like if its ghetto rigged but thats imo, thanks everyone for the replies!
