"MILLVILLE -- The municipal airport will be the site of a $100 million motorsports resort park,... Millville officials and developers announced Tuesday... The centerpiece of the plan is Thunderbolt Raceway, a 4.1-mile-long course designed to host a broad range of automotive and motorbiking events beginning in spring 2006... Bump. I don't live in Millville but it's great for the sport of racing imo

 

I can understand any skepticism on this because I kind of share the doubts... however.

1. this made the local Philadelphia TV news

2. I've spoke with a member if the Green Flag committee who said he's been sitting on this information and has been involved in the workings of this project for over a year now... I know this guy to be a pretty level headed dude and yet he said his excitement about this parrellels a certain sexual activity (3rd base) at the age of 17... not quite in these terms... trying to make it PC.

3. The same dude who was involved with the reconstruction of VIR is involved... Harvey Siegel.

Not sure, but I would imagine that this will also increase air traffic in the area... I can see it now... fly in, open on-site garage, drive race car...

Looks like the track configuration will be able to handle two separate events. There is also a tri-oval, and a go-kart track... on site hotel, pool, baseball field, tennis, etc.
