Default Weight Redux

I bought a 95 H23 Prelude a few weeks ago. I used to have a civic (hence the screen name), and i like the prelude a hell of a lot more, but lets face it, ludes are fat *** cars. I wanna do some little weight redux stuff, without it looking completely gutted. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe taking the rear seats out since the only people that can fit back there are midgets who lost their legs in 'nam? Please help!

CF hood, lightweight battery, remove sound deadening material, remove jack and spare tire, remove PS/AC, racing seats, light weight wheels

This topic seems to go on, but you could do many things CF body parts, lighter battery, shave the crank, lighter seats, lighter wheels etc...just make sure you take your time with such a task, mines nearly gutted out but still working on it. Have fun with it though I do sure miss some luxeries.

Buy a plasma cutter and watch the pounds melt away

I don't think that's a 'comfortable' driving car

preludes just werent build to be insanly light drag cars. you spent all the extra money to get a prelude, and you just turned it into an old civic. why not just go with a frame with tires and a motor?

I wouldn't do this, it's not worth the weight to lose
the reliability of the crank, you could make that up with a lighter flywheel

--I already know that people think blue=rice....so thanks anyway...
--I don't mind the car without P/S, A/C, or sound deadening either...

But here's my cleaned out bay with dirty tranny and rust spots--

I'll probably get a lightwieght battery soon...

Still a bit dirty from the tar....Don't miss a thing, though...

Maybe that's too much for a lot of people, but I like it....All flames accepted...

Here's how-https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=830502
It's a pain and you need several parts, flare nut wrenches, and lots of time...

Total weight loss was about 25-30 lbs....
