Default Sleeper exhaust setup.

Alright, I took my Civic to the exhaust shop the other day. I had a non resonated 2.25 going into a cheap off-brand canister. I decided to go with more of a sleeper look/sound. I upgraded piping to a resonated mendrel 2.5" going back into a 2.5" Cherry Bomb Turbo II muffler. The car sounds excellent, looks stock, quiet in low RPMs but it has a deep/mellow tone in high RPM. I'm going to the dyno soon to see how much of a gain the new system has given me. Sometimes good things DO come with small price tags

$17.99 at Autozone, very satisfied with it. I believe my tint is 20-25 percent.

that looks like 5% tint. 20% you can usually see through somewhat from the outside..

Its hard to see from the pics, but I think I have the same setup.. I used a 2.5" Dynomax Super Turbo and had the exaust shop replicate the stock exhaust, but with big piping.

I like it.

i basically run the same setup. got a magnaflow that resembles the stock crx exhaust and got 2.25 piping to a highflow cat and resonator. the thing thats sucks though is my resonator scrapes cause its too low.

Muffler - $17.99
Resonator - 2.5" resonator salvaged from a used mitsubishi exhaust - $0
Hangers - $5
Exhaust pipe & Labor at exhaust shop = $220

This is why I used the Cherry bomb Turbo II, its a very small compact muffler with a nice free flowing design.

thanks..
its a fat 3incha magnaflow but i painted it black. too much bling bling for me. i think including the downpipe and 50 for the muffler, i paid about 120 for everything.

any of you guys have sound clips of these? I can tell they're sleeper-looking, but I'd like to know how sleeper-sounding they really are.

I, personally am in LOVE with my cut out. There just isnt anything better then an open header. There just isnt. It cost me $100 bucks to have one welded up b4 the cat. Then when I want to be quiet (which is about 75% of the time) I put the cut out cover back on and live with the stock exhaust. I do notice some low end is gone with it open, but it more then makes up for it as I dig into the power band...

just my .02 cents...

Blaze
