how to make 98 spec SRS ITR wheel return properly?
Was wondering if someone knows how to make the 98 spec SRS ITR wheel turn signal return properly?
I remember seeing it before, but I did a search and can't find it now.
someone listed a part that you needed to do it.
Someone else with this wheel probably knows what I mean, after you make a signal, then do a turn, but the turn signal doesnt return (reset)
Let me know if you guys do.
Thanks!

Mine does. During installation, you just have to break the plastic tabs inside the sleeve around the main shaft because it will let the cable reel's internal stay same center position even after you rotate the cable reel to accomdate the momo hub.
Please IM Comp97GSR for details. This pic came from him.

It has been awhile since I have gone through this...... lets see if I can remember.
In that pic above I removed the tabs that are on the back side of the cable reel. Some peeps have been able to do this without removing them. I needed to remove them so that the signals would cancel in my car. Looking at the steering column, you will see that there are 2 ways that the signals are canceled. 1. is the tabs on the back of the reel fit into the signal canceler. 2. are the notches on the back of the steering wheel hub. They line up with the 2 tabs on a brass fitting that is part of the signal canceler.
I recommend that while the st/wheel is off you play with the signals to get a firm understanding on how all of this works.
Most importantly, your SRS cable reel needs to be centered. If it not, when you put everything back together you could snap the cables in the cable reel and it will be destroyed. I believe the steering column turns 5 complete turns, 2.5 turns each direction. Center the st/column (wheels straight) Rotate the reel until it doesn't turn anymore. DO NOT FORCE IT!! Count the number of revolutions from lock to lock. Rotate the reel back to center, if I remember correctly, you will need to turn the reel 1/4 turn or so more to get it to center, that will be okay b/c the reel has more relolutions than the steering column. (hopefully you have the wheels straight still). The long tabs on the reel will fit into the steering wheel. When putting the st/wheel back on, line the brass tabs on the signal canceler up with the notches on the back of the st/wheel hub. Play with the signals more and if everything works bolt that bad boy down and enjoy.
I didn't proof read this so
to me. If you have any questions, pm me. I have talked several people through this before.
