on 5/9 i sent this H-T member a PM in response to this thread, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=852121. I did not know what I was getting myself into. He wants $900.00 shipped for the 99 si transmission with a Quaife LSD. I thought it was a great deal, so I jumped on it. After talking it over for a day, we made arrangements that I would send him $600.00 dollars and thenhe would ship the tranny to me. I would have the tranny checked out and then Paypal the $300.00 extra to him. So i sent the money via Paypal. His paypal name is
streetracing2005@yahoo.co.uk, and registered to a Lindsey Phillips, which he claims is his wife...derekolerude claims he lives at
210 east 5th st riceville IA, and real name is derek olerude. Now i do not know if that is true or not, but the only thing I know is not bogus is his cell phone, which is 507-581-1077. I have called him numerous times, which I have s/w him, and he made up bullshit stories how UPS is giving him the run around, like they left no trk#, shipped to wrong addr, and etc. I dont know why he would give out his cellphone. THIS MAKES ME SO MAD!!!!!!
I have searched everywhere to look up this cellphone 507-581-1077. It is registered out of NORTHFIELD, MN with aerial communications. so I need everyone in H-T to help me out if you can. I need to locate this person. I am almost done with my set up and all i need is a transmission and this kid just steals $600.00 from me. so if anyone can help a fellow member. get in touch with me. my email is BigBodySmith@aol.com

is he possibly from the uk. i heard some people from the uk are scammers. i cant remember where i read the info . but a guy named jimmy cole i believe. he is from out of the country. he would b selling something and told the buyer that someone that owed jimmy money will send a check to you and it would b for like 5000. and if the part you bought was say 1000. you would refund the 4000 to that jimmy cole guy. it was a scam and one guy fell for it. that jimmy cole guy tried it alot. and many people got the same emails. and story. i think the guys email address had jimmy cole in it. i think it was his alias.

 

That sucks, I am sure it is easy to set up a yahoo.uk email addr, that is all he pretty much did, then registered with paypal with that email addr. I know i should of looked at everything a little closer, but i had his cell phone, which he answered at one time!!!

 

streetracing2005@yahoo.co.uk would have set me off right there. There is no reason why the money should be getting sent to a United Kingdom e-mail address. If you haven't already I would contact PayPal ASAP. Do everything you can with them and contact your bank or CC if it was out of that account.

 

yo I sold this guy a power steering pump. He was shady as hell. First he wanted me to ship it first then he'd pay me. Then he was like I sent mo order out you should get it soon . So I wait for like 1 week . Don't get the mo . He Im's me hey you ship it out yet . I'm like no dude. So then he gets this gregwilliamson guy to paypal me. First he was like my boy's going to paypal you tonight send it out today of course I don't get any money . So like 3 days later I get paypal and I send it out. I sent it to a work address I'll try to find it. His name he says was Ken.

I saw some of his posts on F-I classifeds about a week back about a Greddy turbo kit. Even then people were calling him out as a potential scammer and he didn't reply or refuse the claim. He had multiple listings for the same kit which seemed shady as hell and on top of it all, he was a trial user and with maybe a hundred posts. this guy is a bastard and buyers should be a little more careful with who they buy from. What a punk-***

 

I am collecting alot of information about this Derekolerude, different names, and different addrs. Thanks for everyones info.

 

I am not scamming him, my account is limited and I am the one that told him to file the buyer complaint....i cant refund it cause my account is limited so he just has to wait 10 days and i cant respond so he will get ALL of it back...i am not out to screw him over

 

So get a cashier's check, put it in a sealed envelope, put it in a UPS envelope and send it UPS Ground so he has a tracking number.
