He wants $900.00 shipped for the 99 si transmission with a Quaife LSD. I thought it was a great deal, so I jumped on it. After talking it over for a day, we made arrangements that I would send him $600.00 dollars and thenhe would ship the tranny to me. I would have the tranny checked out and then Paypal the $300.00 extra to him. So i sent the money via Paypal. His paypal name is
streetracing2005@yahoo.co.uk, and registered to a Lindsey Phillips, which he claims is his wife...derekolerude claims he lives at
210 east 5th st riceville IA, and real name is derek olerude. Now i do not know if that is true or not, but the only thing I know is not bogus is his cell phone, which is 507-581-1077. I have called him numerous times, which I have s/w him, and he made up bullshit stories how UPS is giving him the run around, like they left no trk#, shipped to wrong addr, and etc. I dont know why he would give out his cellphone. THIS MAKES ME SO MAD!!!!!!

I have searched everywhere to look up this cellphone 507-581-1077. It is registered out of NORTHFIELD, MN with aerial communications. so I need everyone in H-T to help me out if you can. I need to locate this person. I am almost done with my set up and all i need is a transmission and this kid just steals $600.00 from me. so if anyone can help a fellow member. get in touch with me. my email is BigBodySmith@aol.com

Man that sucks. Hope you resolve this issue. I been had before on other forums..so now, anytime I ship or buy a car part I always use FED-EX cod. It cost more but..
A)it can be overnighted
B)the cod check gets overnighted as well...
usually 3days total time on the transaction

although i cant be of any real help, it seems odd that his pay-pal address ends in (.uk) - im pretty sure that means you sent the money to someone in the United Kingdom(England-Ireland)

 

The only information I can contribute is that he had expressed interest in one of my PS removal kits a while back, and the information he provided to me was the name Greg Williamson, a zip code of 55060, and an email of gregwilliamson2@hotmail.com. As I look back at the email I received from Greg now, there's the possibility that the information was false (he seemed a bit confused about the whole thing, and I never heard back again), but I just emailed Greg again at that address to determine whether or not he is indeed this H-T member.

As I had suspected, the information he gave me was indeed false, and belonged instead to another H-T member named Greg Williamson (who happens to be very nice). This is extremely disheartening, since I've dealt with so many people on H-T, and this was the first time that someone's been truly dishonest with me. I've always known that it happens, but it's upsetting nonetheless. I hope you're able to get everything worked out.

I am not scamming him, my account is limited and I am the one that told him to file the buyer complaint....i cant refund it cause my account is limited so he just has to wait 10 days and i cant respond so he will get ALL of it back...i am not out to screw him over
