I'm pretty sure that a 4 point isnt illegal for street use. you can get one that is partially removable. the rear section stays in and the upper section for the belt bar comes out. Also the lower section in the front also comes out for street use. its not as strong as the true 4 point but does the trick for ocassional AutoX.

I;m looking for the site now.

AP rollbar would suit you well. I am going to get one here in the near future.

Unless you plan on trapping 135+

AutoPower would be a good choice. They offer different types of Steel to suit different speed/weight applications.

**edit** I just noticed that you want one just for show. If that's all you want it for, save yourself some money and you can buy these show tubes:

why in the hell would you want a roll bar for show purposes??? If you are going to spend the money and put something in your car, at least make it functional. Just my .02

I know that there are more than a few places that a non stock roll bar or roll cage is illegal. most of the time they same they can cause more damage than good i.e. hitting you head, trapping you in the car more, or becoming a projectile.

bars and cages are completely different. Either one can cause harm by you hitting your head off of them.

I'd say that in more instances with a cage would you be likely to get trapped in a vehicle than with just the roll bar.

But, becoming a projectile? If my roll bar disconnects itself and becomes a moving object, that is one HELL of an impact. I just can't forsee that happening, but I'm not saying that it never would. Stranger things have happened I guess.

i'm not trying to be ricey and i'm def not looking for showtubes, some mentions them and you all try and make some comment, like ricer, i'm not looking for a crazy cage where i have to take out all my interior. next time you enter a post, try answering the question and just not ridiculing everyone, i would love to see what you drive.

Doesn't Sparco sell some kind of brace/bar to hook up their seating harnesses to? Would that have any function other than being a point for harness attachment? I too would like to see some more pics and suggestions for a cage/rollbar for daily driven tegs with some rear seat usuage.

this is the phrase that got you "ricer" comments, cause it's kind of silly to do something of this nature(safety device) just for show, and then this would be the wrong forum.....it would have to go to the appearence forum.

haha are you guys serious? just because its blue doesnt make it a show cage, dumbass people just chose not to pad it and roll around like ballers..

Ive seen plenty of cars flip with these cages and saved a lot of lives not to mention necks..

Theres a couple members on the site with them balling out of control with no pads, that is ghey forreal..

But I do know of a member on the site who wrote his car off, he had the cage and it saved his life..

Dont hate.. I autocross this and drive it to school everyweek..

is that a cusco cage? if it is...its pretty much useless, too many flex points....you can't even use it in many events....autopower you can use and works a lot better...not hating just stating the facts

ask anyone who know about cages...

autopower = functional
cusco = jdm bling, hardly any function if any.

AND i know they dont work because a friend has one 6 point...

weird, because Cusco direct specially built it for a friend of mines type-r track car.. he ended up hitting the wall and decided to go with an RSX rather then DC, so he sold it to me..

Its not the same Cusco cage you can buy from shops, it has addition points and cross members to stiffen it up..

Its definently not a 1'' show piece.. its a track cage..

And for the facts man, about 8 or 9 of the ITR Mugen cars use the cage too, so I duno..
