Default USDM vs. JDM H22

Can someone tell me the differences between the USDM and JDM H22? Other than the slight horsepower difference, is there anything else that makes the JDM more desireable than the USDM? Especially if you would do a complete rebuild with new cams, etc anyway?

Just wondering if it would be possible to save some of the headache of wiring issues, etc and go with a USDM instead of the JDM motor/tranny/ECU.

riiiiiight... redline is 7400 on all of em... its not like the JDM one has a stronger valvetrain, or stronger crankshaft to go along with that... and also, USDM or JDM, they can handle 8000 (not all the time) but anything above that and youre gonna destroy the inside of that beautiful machine. unless of course you rebuild the innerds of it with aftermarket crap. 8200 redline...haha... this aint no b16a2 bud

H22a1 H22a4 H23a1 these are USDM

Yes, their website does list an 8200 rpm for the JDM H22. I just saw that tonight.

redline is 7200, revlimit is 7400.
doest matter if it is usdm or jdm. a type-s or euro-r engine may be a bit more, but those are not run of the mill engines.

the only diff besides the # on the block is a slightlky higher dome on the piston, 10:1 for usdm and 10.6:1 jdm. the engine computer is also al ittle bit different as well.

Is there anything involved with swithing from the external to internal coil? My F22 also has an external coil.

By the way, jeffh.., What have you done to your H22 to get 249 hp? I would like to be right around 250hp on a H22.

Thanks.

more than likely QUITE a lot of money... i remember lookin at a lot of h22 dynos and well...wow... those guys had impressive numbers, and i could tell by what mods they said they had, they saved up quite a bit to make theirs get to those numbers. of course the highest i saw was like 220 and something around 160... im wondering how you got into the 180s with torque (i loooove the torque )

you guys forgot that the jdm cam profiles are slightly more aggressive than the usdm profiles...also, usdm is 10.4:1 compression and jdm is 10.6:1...jdm has a redline of 7400 (check both the jdm accord sir and jdm prelude tachs and you will find this) and the usdm redlines at 7200...
