Bottle is empty...not going to fill it until I can get to the dyno (hopefully next week).

Car is normally an auto-x car, but we have a drag day coming up and I'd like to surprise a few people. I've never run it in the 1/4...it'll be interesting to see what she'll do. N2O is temporary for the upcoming drag day only. Turbo is in my future.

Yea, espially if your getting it tuned (I assume you are, because you said you weren't using it until you get to a dyno). I ran nitrous for a little while and plan to run it again until I can afford my turbo kit. It's a cheap, quick way of getting power, that's why some people think it's cheating.

yes, it'll be tuned. i've got colder ngk plugs to put in and a skunk2 intake manifold should be here next week, as should a new set of ngk plug wires. we also put in a walbro 255 lph fuel pump.

 

How much you gona run ? Looks good man, i dont see anything wrong with it either.

Jet sizes on juice and fuel, spark plug gap, cam timing, etc.

btw, what's the deal with your pcv? It looks like you modified the valvecover so i'm just wondering what exactly you did and why. Thanks.

The PCV valve is not in the valve cover on a gsr motor. It's on the black box on the back of the motor. That nipple is just a breather.

i bought a skunk2 intake manifold and a hondata im gasket. both should be here this week, so i'm going to hold off on the dyno until next week so i can install them this weekend. i'll be tuning with an old-skewl fields vtec controller with a/f control...works similarly to a v-afc.

i also added a walbro 255lph pump.

i weighed the car a couple of weeks ago and it weighed 2240 lbs. however, i've since shed a little more weight...scraped out at least 25 lbs of sound deadening material (dry ice kicks ***!) and am putting on a c/f hood. i'll weigh it again the day before the race.

 

be sure that when you tune it you maintane the same bottle pressure the whole time, that is the key on a wet kit.

Now a dry kit is much better in that way because it uses bottle pressure proportionally to the fuel and get a pretty close mixture all the time as apposed to a wet where if you bottle pressure is 650psi and you spray you get too much fuel.

Have fun and good luck, i ran a 75 shot on my ls/vtec for some time with no problems and now the motor is turbo and still running strong, 360hp strong.

i've got a bottle warmer to hook up, too...just didn't have the relay when we put the rest of it in. that should keep bottle pressure up.

 

one thing to keep in mind when tuning the nitrous is that you have a 255 pump. when jetting the nitrous the company gives you a certain jetting # @ a certain pressure. the suggested jetting is normally Rich which is safe but with the added pressure of the 255 pump it might throw the jetting off, so you might have to use a smaller jet on the fuel side. start off with the jetting that they suggest but be prepared to re-jet if necessary.

btw, those nitrous and fuel lines look kinda messy for a single fogger but they're not messier than mine.
