Default Good Bye ls-vtec (you will be missed)

Wasn't racing. Just running for s&g's. Was in second and ran to 8200 in second was going into 3rd and went to first....Big...High dollar mistake.

Can't see in the pics but did crack the cylinder wall for the #3 Cylinder also. What really sucks is just filled it up and only had 1985 miles on it.

Ack. Well that does suck...but when you take that piston out mount a lighted candle on the inside of the piston. Really would make a nice flame pattern.

So there you have it your very own personal "Silver Lining" on this otherwise tragedy.

For reals though that sucks.

I've mishifted badly a few times in my lsvtec, but good thing it was built well enough to handle it

well for starters it was accidental who in there right mind would go 8200 in second and go into 1st??? mishifted was going for 3rd and hit first........the VAFC read 9999 so it was over 10k on stock valve springs and retainers.....really unsure if better springs/retainers would have helped but will never know

wow, sorry guy. I am glad I have never misshifted that back in my life. I have maybe twice, but both times within a split second of just beginning to let the clutch out i knew it and pushed the clutch back in. Did you not feel it in the clutch? Am I the only person who can do that?

see, thats why no one should build lsvtecs. they are unreliable.

thats why you should never shift back into first.....

Sorry about your motor man. Oh well, I guess looking on the bright side of things...you now have the chance to build something bigger and better than before
