Search for Meng, SSautochrome, TRR, Ebay Turbo, etc, etc. These are all the same version of the Meng manifold.

Common problems that many HT members have experienced:

Manifold: Wastegate arm cracks or falls off
Manifold cracks where head meets the runners
Turbo flange cracks (Where turbo meets manifold)

Wastegate: Cheap knockoff of Tial
Boost spike or creep problems (Due to cheap spring I dont know)

Turbo: They say its Ballbearing sometimes it isnt
Cheap knockoff of Garrett (Mass production and turbos end up having problems 90% of the time)

That good enough?

Why would I use this crap if it has been proven to be crap by others? Learn from people on this board. It will save you lots of money

I would be skeptical of any kit that used that manifold and did not include ANY brand names in the parts that are included in the kit.

Isnt there a company that makes a manifold almost identical to that, but it has more of a bronze tint. Ive heard that they were good. Does anyone know the names of them?

yeah...I agree. Buy the identical turbo from some big company and spend 3x the money for it. It's thinking like this why Uberdata isn't a raging success.

For everyone who says that "this kit is junk, my mailman had one!!" please tell me this...how is it that (insert overpriced manufacturer here)'s turbo manifold is any better when both of them are made with stainless steel tubing of equal thickness and both are TIG welded, not MIG welded (like the old shitty manifolds that they had). The wastegate is another story. I can't say much about it since I've never worked with one, but the manifolds look nearly identical when in my hand.

Also, a lot of these prices are so damn low because the company that sells it didn't do any R&D, so they don't have and development expenses to recoup. Dosens of companies do it. Also consider that no company in the world will undertake an expensive endeavor such as casting turbos unless they were going to do it properly - kinda like car manufacturing.
