Who is going to the Honda Challenge National Event @ Mid Ohio Aug 20-22
Hi guys,
It's been a while since we talked about this event but I just wanted to check up to see if everyone can still make it. A few months ago before the season began there was a lot of interest. Now that we are all racing and burning through our budgets I think people should have a better idea if they can really make it or not.
I personally have rounded up enough help to get out to the east coast this summer. And I really want to get to go and race with you guys out there. Who knows, this may be the only year that I get this chance. I am really looking forward to meeting and hanging out with everybody.
I will be going to the August Mid Ohio race for sure. But I don't want to tow 5000 miles just to race by myself. If not very many people are going to race I need to make a back up plan. There is an event at VIR July 30 - Aug 1 and an event at Road Atlanta on August 14 -15. I may be able to try to hit one of those as well while I'm out there, but it's going to be really tough though.
Anyway, please vote on the pole if you seriously think you will be racing at one of the events. Also if you want to note what region you're coming from and what class you'll be racing in that would be cool too.
Thanks a lot! Oh, and please try to keep the thread focused on attendance. I really need to know what to do so I can get all my ducks in a row. This will be a long and expensive trip and will take some planing. Thanks again,

I voted Mid-Ohio and VIR, though I am still looking to borrow a 2-car trailer (to share with Beno Rubin) for the tow to Ohio...

I am running ECHC/SEHC and will be at VIR in July and RA at Aug. I don't think I will be able to make Mid-Ohio.

I will be at VIR and Mid Ohio.. I'm only going to Mid Ohio to race the Westcoast and Midwest boys, so you guys better bring it!

Team R&D Motorsports will be racing all 3 events....if the car is still together and fundage is there....AT THIS TIME we are planning on doing all the events....

I need a few HC cars to come to the Media Day at Mid Ohio June 8th. All of the magazines, etc. will be there along with ALMS, Grand Am, etc to promote the summer spectator events. Hopefully I will be running MWHC in H5 at Mid-Ohio, I have the car to do it with just need to sell the rest of the cars sO I can afford to race.

It looks like it's only 11 hours from RA to Mid Ohio. I'm going to try to make both events. If I do we may need a place to clown around/thrash on the racecar for a day or two.
I just signed up for Mid Ohio. I heard it's first come first served on the car #'s. Sorry suckas #1 is mine!
