RSX 1/4 mile times?
was wondering what your 1/4 mile times were and what mods you had?
i have a type s with CAI, exhaust, and hondata reflash...what should i be running? i still get beat by my buddies EK with a stock '00 Si b16?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? what gives?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You should buy some new tires. My launches are some much better now with new tires. You should be running 14's probaly mid 14's with stock tires. That really sucks because I have walk all over ek's and eg's with b series motors.
i know i know...im in the 14's (14.63 to be exact) and my buddies car still takes me by half to almost a whole car?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? and yes my tires suck, but his tires suck too...this is one civic i give props to...my other buddy with a gsr EG is as fast as the EK with the b16...so i guess im not getting smoked, but i think i should be able to pull....and the crazy thing is...the ek has stock DX piping and DX muffler! that car caught me by surprise

LOL. Bro, ive walked GSR's with intake/exhaust and ur here telling us that u cant walk a b16? U seriously need to practice your driving. Im not here bashing u. But im sayin practice some becuase that b16 is just that- a 1.6, you have a 2.0. i dunno lol unless he got that b16 worked to a 1.89 wit cams etc. u should walk him all day everyday

EK is all stock...but last night both of us got beeat by a CRX w/ a jdm single cam non vtec...guy said it was stock, but, sounds fishy...i had 1 passenger and my buddy w/EK had 2 passengers...does it make a big difference if we were driving solo?

p.s. 1 passanger doesnt make much of a difference in a car. unless they weigh like 300 lbs.

Just because we have K motors don't mean that other people will have stuff in their engine. People don't just do swaps and leave it the way it is. Never underestimate your opponents. There's always someone that's faster than you...
yeah a single cam...i think it had work though...MAD work im almsot certain he had a 50 shot or something cuz i was ahead by 2 cars in second gear and when he went into 3rd, he was pulling pretty good
But you have to consider power to weight ratio. An RSX weighs 2700 lbs. (almost 2800 lbs.) putting out 200hp (~185whp in the case of emoney) vs. an EK weighing in at 2300 lbs putting out 160hp (~130-135whp). That's a 500 lbs/50whp difference. It should be sort of close. But, it all depends on the driver. FOR EXAMPLE: You can put a guy in a 500whp turbo B18C hatch (a well-built one) who can't drive for **** and a guy in 300whp B16 turbo hatch (semi-built) who can drive for ****; the guy in the B16 hatch will win. The guy in the B18 hatch will put pedal to the metal and won't find traction and misshift, and the guy in the B16 will ease on the throttle and will find traction and make perfect shifts.
I think emoney has a problem with traction issues, because we all know RSX do with stock tires. As for the B18C1 EG, it should be faster than a stock B16 EK not almost as fast. I guess your friend in the B16 EK is a good driver.

yeah he's pretty good...he either bogs off the line or he jumps out in front by like a car and a half! i think later this week we're going to switch cars and then race...oh and i found out the CRX is as built as you can get (all motor). everything (almost is done to that thing)...we're going to race after i get new tires...what kind should i buy?

u dont know what the **** your talkin about fool....it doesnt matter matter if its a b16, b18, k20 it doesnt matter when it comes to the driver....the kid with the ek could have some **** done to his b16 to make it quick enough to beat that rsx any day cuz b-series are the ****....i love k-motors but b- series motors have been proven for years now, even with the "old" technology of vtec compared to i-vtec. The potential fo k-motors is extremly high but until they're running in the 9's and 10's like b-sereies motors have been doing for years now....b-series still ownZ
point being: a b-16 can pull just as hard as any other b-series or k-series motor, u just have to build it right. anyone who argues that is in denial!
