first off, I spent the last half hour searching in the recent and archive threads in both the integra and type r forums.

Ok, i know that the JDM center console(not the arm rest eliminator)will not fit in the USDM integra without some modification. My question is, what exactly is it that you need to do to get it to fit. I have a JDM one cuz I am switching my interior from tan to black, and bought the wrong one(JDM not USDM). However, i am not willing to just give it up and call it a loss. Anyone here know how it can be done because I have heard it CAN from multiple people, but none knew how.

Just sell it on Ebay and buy a GSR center console. That's probably the easiest way. Well, that's what I did at least.

Not to be a dick or anything, but it would seem logical to put the consoles side by side and see how the mounting and shape are different. Then when you have determined how the fitting should be, start cutting w/ a exacto knife or something. good luck w/ the modification

 

It's not going to fit, there's nothing you can do. Do things the right way and get a usdm console. If you bolt up the jdm console it is shifted to one side, interfering with your seats, and your arm rest won't align to it either. JDM console fits the contours of the JDM dash and vice versa with the USDM console, there's no way around that. There was just a post on this a week or so ago. Watch out for ebay, and everyone STOP BUYING JDM center consoles, they don't fit!

 

As i have already said, people have modified them to fit and they didn't look bad, and I don't have the armrest anymore so that is not an issue...I am looking for someone who has done any sort of fabrication and can ACTUALLY help me...how about only positive comments from now on?!?!

 

I'm going to switch my hazard/defrost buttons and sell it as JDM on ebay

well then ask the people that you've seen with it modified. Positive comments? I'm not giving you negative comments buddy, I'm giving you a reality check. Why are u asking in the ITR forum anyway? I doubt anyway with an ITR would replace there properly fitting USDM console with ghetto-rigged JDM console that doesn't fit right.

 

It won't work without it looking like trash. Look at the curvature.
