ok today i went and brought a eg radiator and all i did to fit it in was

pull old one out
put new one in place
put bonnet down see where it hits
then get a hammer and bash in the metal where the radiator fits !!!!
looks fine and it all fits perfectly now
just make 2 little metal brakets so it dont move round!!
job done i'll put pics up soon

lol... that's actually what it's called in most of the english speaking world, "bonnet" not hood. they also say "boot" not trunk.

back to the original topic, yes, you can do it that way, but it's ghetto.

i think this is the better way !
better than some people on here cutting the bottom cross member out
tap the bonnet in 2cm was nothin once its dressed up nicely and painted up will look normal will never know

much cheaper than buying a aftermarket cross member

problem solved.

 

thats the way i did it without out cutting a piece outta the hood i just hit it in instead and i'll just spray paint it and be mint i done heaps work on it today pics soon
