Default I dyno'ed my D16z6 del Sol saturday......

I dyno'ed my 94 del sol SI with D16Z6 (98K), this past saturday and I got a not too shabby run. My only mods are, OBX CAI, DC ceramic 4-2-1, Nology hot wires, Act street disc, and rollin on HX wheels. I also had a auto to 5 speed conversion.

My #'s were:
MaX HP: 120.6
Max Torque 103.8

I hope to sooon get the picture of the chart up but i thouhgt id tell people sooner since i was pretty happy with the results

WTF? Goddamn, I swear my Y8 must've been built on a Friday at 5:55 p.m. Or my tuner's dyno needs to be recalibrated. Great numbers for the Z6 with just an intake and header. I would've been happy, too! Was it just a run or was there tuning, too?

ever wonder why you're percentage goes down?

those are good numbers for a Z6 with just an I/H set up.

this isn't praisehonda-tech.com. This is a site to discuss performance and to solve tech issues. He probably spent around 500 dollars for the mods and his car put down 103 lbs of torque. Almost all cars are more powerful then that. i spent a lot of money on my civic and a turbo kit and it still only puts down like 170lbs of torque. For the money it's just not worth it.

Nice #'s man. 120 WHP is about 140 HP to the crank. Great for the # of mods you have.

If you "lose it" again you're going to lose % points too. Sadly you have a fan of the torqueless D-series as a moderator so stop being a dick.

sounds like he at least needs a free-flow muffler and then a hondata setup to maximize his investments and the power output.

Everyone doesn't hate you. You just need to have a little more respect for others, in order to get some respect. He didn't go "ape ****" over his torque numbers, he simply listed them with a "suprised" icon. Usually, with those mods, the torque numbers are well below 100 on most dyno's. Yes, your torque output is much bigger, but look at the mods he has, it's a pretty good amount of power for those bolt ons.

D-series motors suck...especially yours Dustin!!

haha, just joking. Those are pretty impressive numbers for a just about stock D16Z6. For comparison, a couple years ago I had a D16Z6 with a CAI and ported throttle body/intake manifold and a shitty exhaust and put down 110whp and 101tq. I had 2000 Civic Si wheels at the time.

Why dont you get the six_inches_of_fun out of your ***. This is a tech forum and dynoing is tech related, Im happy with my 100 bucks in mods and how much it gained me. I like to keep my car drivable and long lasting I'm sorry im not turboed or have a B series motor, but i have more important things to spend money on like living sure id love to have them but thats not a priority for someone who doesnt Race.....
