Default DAMN, I finally got my car dynoed and tuned w/ the Hondata

I'M BACK!!!!! I'll see you guys now at the races in Miami. I finally got my car back from SFP. They were putting the Hondata in and tuning it. I have to say that I am really satisfied w/ th results. I was driving my car back home and still had some C16 fuel in it and my boost was dialed in at 20lbs. This car is scary fast, like I honestly get nervous stepping on this thing. My car dynoed 386hp at the wheels w/ 281lbs of torque. What do you guys think? Look at my profile for the rest of my mods. Now when I run out of race fuel, I'll turn down my boost to 14lbs and run it like that.

What did you think of SFP?

Specifically their prices & service?

Also who sleeved your block? ie what type.

SFP builds fast cars. They're probably one of the best in Florida. Time to take that sucka to the track. I'm happy for you yet jealous at the same time..hehe

Southern Florida Performance. Their site is http://www.sfp.net. I got to see their Si run at the nhra import event in gainsville back in may. It was very impressive to see them slam on the brakes in a street car and still run 11.9!

I'm running a Rev-Hard Stage II kit. The SFP civic has run a best time of 11.1 at I don't know what MPH. Thats a daily driven Civic, the thing doesn't even have a roll cage, he likes getting kicked out.

LOL, yea I've seen Frankie run the Civic a few times at Moroso during the events. I remember all the headaches they had last time out, breaking axels left and right on the Si. Definatley got their things together over there. That's where I'm headed to tune my Civic once I've got my setup complete.

I was thinking of having them(SFP) put together a turbo kit for my civic but i was also thinking of having T-bone to do it. T-bone has a daily driven civic all-motor that runs 12's but i don't know if they do good turbo work. Do you know anybody that has used them before.

I've heard good things about T-bone in times past, haven't heard much of them these days. I can tell you TONS of people who will reccomend SFP all day long, T-Bone doesn't seem to have the same following for whatever reason?

Those numbers look sweet!
How was the service down there at SFP. I've been to their website, and I dont know of too many shops here in Tampa that are good at Turbos. How long did it take for the turbo and Hondata to get installed? Would you recommend the kit that they sell on their website??

If any of you guys from Miami are ever up this way, give me a holler. I'll show you around.

Looks like a badass shop! How much did it cost for them to put in the Hondata and tune it?

What about Turismo (I belive it's in Tampa)? Isn't that where John B. was working a while back?

Haaaaa. Soo many negative points about John Brown. Dude only thing I know is that he produced 461@hp with 370 rc injectors on obd1 computer. I don't know anyone that can tune this kind of hp on this setup. He built my car, loves his work and puts in his heart and soul to his work. People expect too much without providing the money. Kids come wth $2000 and ask for a 10sec car. I am very happy with his work and would highly recommend him. BTW I have 500hp Type R that was built and tune by him. I did spend alot of money up front but he has backed me up everytime. I have blown 3 clutches and he replaced them of no charge. No tuning fees, nothing. If u don't reach your goal that was promised when u made the deal, he will come with you to the track, drvie ur car and show you your expected time. John Brown , ALL THE WAY.........NO I am not his BITCHHH!!

Ok, I have a couple of things to say. Lets start off w/ T-Bone. Don't take your car there. One of my friends has had his car there for over a year, and he still hasn't gotten it back. And he does not have an all-motor civic in the 12's. He had an Orange coupe on NOS that didn't even break into the 13's. As for Pacific, Steven seems to know his **** but I had a bad experience w/ him. He doesn't really have good customer service over there. Pacific built my motor and blew it up on the dyno and made me pay to rebuild it. I didn't think that was right. I would recommend SFP to anyone. They are also really nice guys over there. They'll help you out w/ anything. Anyone can build a race car, but how many people can build a daily driven low 11 second Civic. My advice to everyone is look into SFP. There number is 305-233-8520. About my dyno sheet, I don't know to post it. If someone here has AOL, I'll gladly send them an email w/ my dyno sheet embedded in it. Let me know. See you guys later.
