I'm from The Netherlands, and I'm going on a holiday to Miami, and I am taking a tour around Florida.
I was wondering if anybody knew some tuningshops in the area so i can take some nice goodies home for my ITR.

well, don't expect to find any great deals and definetly expect them to recognize you're a tourist... you also won't find great prices, as most of the these shops have inflated prices as compared to what you can easily find on HT or the Net. </IMHO>

but it depends on where in the greater Miami area you'll be...

North/Ft Laud area - Pacific Performance, Cybernation, Cobalt Friction

South/Miami area - Toyomoto, MCA Motorsports, South Florida Performance.

I'd avoid Dynamic Turbo. I'm not bad mouthing them, but bad experiences from me and many friends.

and definetly check out The Grove for *** and visit Tootsie's and Scarlett's for nakedness.

Nederland I met up with Ken (DutchITR1689) when I was there and rode around with him in his Euro R

Miami = yes IM Kendall or Precient R, then are down there.

All I remember in dutch is Ik Cali fawn yow. Can't spell with **** though

Scarlett's in Hollywood is the ****... Serves drinks till 8 in the morning

 

the boob factory if it is still there, you can drink from 8pm to 1100pm on $20.......

well as far as tuning shops goes, just wait until your back in town and get stuff on the net. People charge outrageous prices down their. Definetly check out Washington down in South beach, If your looking to eat the best food ever I'd advise you to go to Porcao, madd good brazilian food. Pretty cool ducati shop down by Bayside also. If you head up North a lil (fort lauderdale), there's a Indoor kart track that just opened up. Anyways have fun

Yes, the majority of Miami's shops make a living from "outsiders" who come willing to spend the extra cash.

Again, where you are actually going within Miami will have a great effect upon what shops you actually go and visit. Being in the South Miami area, I have to recommend MCA and SFP, also check out Speedlab. SFP is in the same building complex as Ricky's Auto Center, a swap shop, and that building complex is about half a mile away from Speedlab, so you can probably tackle those in an afternoon.

Also, it's worth it to hang out at the clubs/bars on South Beach if you've never done it before, and if you can drive a couple of hours, get down to Key West and chill on Duval Street for a night.

I will definitely check out some of the shops, and the "other shops".
I'll be down Key West also, going upcoast to Fort Myers, Sarasota and then take a right to Orlando and then down the coast to W.Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale and then a 7 day stay in Miami.
