I've got CTR's in my LS. I'm waiting on the head to be finished from the shop. I'll clay the pistons very soon and if you remember to IM me in about a week I can tell you exactly how much clearance there is. I'm hoping for 180+ WHP and a Tq curve that will be out of this world! I'll have it running in about two weeks and on the dyno in about a month.

This is what pistons are supposed to look like.

Non vtec heads.
I'm running CTR pistons with Colt Race cams (similar to 404's) in my new build. My motor is being pulled as we speak. I work slowly, so my new setup should be in within the next few weeks.
I'll be claying my motor before install, although I'm not overly concerned with piston to valve clearance.

u guys got any sound clips of your motors? or video or anything?
I had an allmotor d15b7 setup for a while,
nowhere near as strong as an LS, but it was similar, non-vtec.. lotsa cam.. heh.
sounded cool as ****, wondering what an ls setup sounds like.
if only the LS didnt weigh so damn much.

I will IM you in a week..............Did you say what cams you are going with?
I had really good results with my CTR's and Stage 2 Guide Bullfrog cams so I am hoping the 404's will be even better. Look in my sig for the times.

With a non-ported LS head, and 2.25" exhaust system (DC 4-2-1 / comptech catback)
My peak powerband is from 5,000 - > 6,500 rpm
But I gained tons of torque from 2,000rpm +
