i think it'd be more helpful if everyone said
how old they are,
years of riding experience,
driving record,
type of bike,
coverage type,
insurance company

- 21
- none
- clean
- 03 yamaha yzf 600r
- liability only $249/year (liability+comprehensive was quoted from $1580-2,200/year)
- progressive

Lucky people..

Im going "THROUGH" Rider.. its NJ based. As most of you probably know, NJ has the highest rates in the nation therefore... Geico, Progressive, and State Farm are not offered in NJ. They dislike us, hal.

Rider is the only one i can get with my driving record, sux... cuz i just got another ticket. Cant wait to get outta Jerzey.

Different insurance agencies have different criterias. In general anything with a larger displacement, in a high risk category, will have a higher premium. That's if you're talking about full coverage. For liability, they only look at the person.

my car is insured under state farm
haha i would add my bike under the same policy, but my car is under my mom's name and she doesn't know that i have a bike. i've actually told her on several occasions but it seems like she doesn't want to believe me.

lolz.. i bought my bike and i made my sister tell my dad. He was coo about it tho. For state farm they wanted $150 for full coverage on my bike. But he told me to add my car into the plan. so the price dropped big time. For my integera i pay $65 amonth, bike $35amonth and he offered me life insurance $15amonth , n i aint got nuthin to lose.

ahhh...
i'm gonna give state farm a call tomorrow, hopefully i can get a similar rate
i can't sleep at night because i'm so worried my bike might get stolen and i end up having to make payments on a bike i no longer own. but if i got full coverage with progressive, my insurance payments would be MORE than my bike payments... which basically makes me feel like i'm getting robbed anyway by the insurance company

I hope the 'Busa won't be much higher.

You better wake up if you think the busa isn't gonna be higher... anything over 750 causes ur insurance to skyrocket... at least State Farm's does
