anyone here in CA with a BAR sticker?

Here's my write up on the whole ordeal.... this was back in early 1999 (almost 3 years ago)..... http://www.econ.csuchico.edu/~dnewman/smog.html
So what do you do if you have all of the emissions hooked up, and it will pass the smog test, yet the motor is a JDM motor? My friend got a go see REF ticket at Cal Poly Pomona and now he has to have his car reffed. Its a 94 Integra GSR with a 97 JDM H22A. It has all of the factory emission controls and should pass a CA smog with no problems. Any ideas? Or is he pretty much screwed? He doesnt have another engine to put in the car either.
it will pass i think because what they do with b16a motors in a crx is they say the closes thing is a del sol motor and they test it according to that make sure you have the receits.
i want to get my crx legit too but maybe i should just wait untill some phat bacon sends me !!

The ref seem pretty hard on me. First, I made the mistake of leaving the aftermarket air filter on. So in less than a minute, I had already failed. Came back a week later and some stupid solonoid on the manifold was missing. Came back another week later and finally passed it. He did all sorts of visual inspections. Took about an hour to get it all done. Better make sure everything is hooked up, or you're gonna have to come back another day and try again.
talked to a ref yesterday and asked him about my engine which i got from the east coast. he said there shouldn't be any problem as long as you keep all the emission components/parts and the motor is stock and i will pass cali smog.
Hmm, guess my ref lied to me......I need to find a site that sells mounts for a 2.2 in a 6th gen.....that way I can ask the ref if I can do it....cause I heard that some mounts are relocated.
Anyone pass a JDM?

Also, I had a 92-95 DC (sticker was on it) air intake pipe on my car (with a CARB sticker from an AEM intake for a 90-91 Integra... sticker said AEM) and had DC headers with the CARB EO number showing.... ref said that was cool and that was all he needed to see for those items. Just make sure ALL of your vacuum hoses are connected, hide your wiring so that it looks clean... if it looks like wires everywhere then the ref might have doubts of how it's setup & running, make sure you don't have any ECU codes cause they look at the CEL, make sure your gas tank has pressure cause they'll check the gas cap, and make sure your car passes the tailpipe test... that's it and you're done.
where exactly is the guy u refed if at...sf?...im in sacramento and got the same motor in my crx...(B18C no 1)...what year did u say the motor was...mine is either a 94 or 95...i was told it was a 95 but the head is stamped 93 so im thinking its a early 94 built at the end of 93...you know what i mean...yea people here say it can be passed...i hope so
6th gen civic with H22A motor mounts. I can get them. They are $400 and include the 3 mounts. You do not have to relocate any mounts. The back mount is offset, but uses the factory holes.
