Default Pic of my 6 point cage

DOM Seamless SS 6-point

decided to be a little safer this year, using a harness mounted to a single bolt in the trunk (thanks to the last owner) and no cage and upcoming events at road courses seemed like a bad idea, so i got this 6 pointer fabbed by a new and upcoming import shop, True Race Engineering...

the welds are sick... more pics to come when i get em

What I would do is have one more bar welded in across those rear 2 bars, at almost the same height as the bar that goes directly behind the rear seats. That way you can use 5 or 6 point harnesses and have the shoulder straps going back at the correct angle and mounted correctly.

looks good for drag racing, but you probably wont pass tech at a road course with that.

Well for starters, you would need to rip it out and start from scratch because Chromoly is illegal for most road racing. Then start over with DOM tubing (I'd guess 1.75x.095), put a diagonal brace from passenger floor to driver head in the main hoop, add a halo hoop, forward bars down a-pillar, dash bar, ect...

You may be able to do HPDE's but you would have to check the rules for the club you plan to run with.

The purpose for the horizontal bar in the main hoop is for the harness, he needs a diagonal brace.

is it just me or do the door bars mount too far inward? Looks like the driver side one is mounted right where your foot would go to hit the clutch. looks like they are mounted like this / \ instead of like | |

looks nice!!!

wish someone made a cage for a sedan, that the back seats could be fully functional. just a though for any of u cage designers. that way i could stiffen up my chassie and if i do end up running fast times at the dragway, i can stay leagle and still drive 4 people 2 and from the track in my car.
