Well first off its a 97 hatch i drove the car till the tranny died on me. So i swapped a JDM B16A Gen 2 engine. So i went from OBD2A to OBD1. I have a conversion harness aswell. Well i ran into a problem. I can't get the car to start? I have spark, i have fuel, and a working ecu. The car will turn over, but just won't catch. I'm not too sure what else i can think of. This is what i've gone thru so far:

No Check engine lights
Fuel pump primes
Fuel pressure
Spark(2 distributors)
Cranks over
Got compression(not the best)
Main Relay is working
Fuses all good
Grounds all there
2 Ecu(just to double check. Even used hondata just to see if i was getting soft codes)

Just won't START!(Damn car)

On thing is i'm not too sure if the injectors are spraying enough fuel? Seems like there not? For the amount of times i've tried to start the engine it just doesn't really like there is fuel? Wouldn't i have flooded the engine? I don't know tho.

I'm really stuck. I can't think of anything else. Things that i haven't touched yet:

Fuel(could be old)
Fuel Filter

Please some can help me. I don't know what else. If you need more info just ask. I just want to slove this mystery.

Hows your timing?

Are your plugs in the right order?

Are you cranking off of a good battery?

 

Sorry forgot to mention that:

Cam timing Good
Valve Lash with in tolerence
Plugs in the right order

Battery? mmm...that's something didn't check into. Better check.

Both Cam timing and ignition timing are good.

 

No one else has anyother idea's???

 

does it keep on cranking and cranking, but it never want to start?

 

if thats the problem, set ur cam TDC and check ur dizzy to see is the rotor pointing a spark plug 1 and also check ur firing order.

 

Yeah the car keeps cranking and cranking...its like it almost wants to start but doesn't.

Yeah the rotor it facing spark plug 1 at TDC.

I'm really stumped.
