Question about maintenance light
I wanted to know if anyone had any idea on how to make the maintenance required light turn off on a 2002 4-door Accord. I only have 20,000 miles on it and this stupid light came on. There is nothing wrong mechanically with the car, at least that I can feel. I have also heard that this light comes on newer Hondas because its a racket that the dealership has to make you take it in to turn the light off. Just curious if anyone knows how to clear it without having to take it to honda. Btw, I tried unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, but the light is still on. I also tried holding down the odometer reset button and that didn't work either.
sorry I just edited it. I tried that method and it still won't clear. Thanks for the welcome. This is for my dad, but I'm goint to be getting a 96 2-door Accord tommorrow.
Just search and your answer will be there trust me this is something that has been covered alot. Also did you try the fuse pull and the battery disconnect.
Congrats on the 5th gen
