this thing has headlights, rear brake light, turning signals, horn, electronic ignition, goes up to 30 mph... front and rear disc brakes

I bought this thing yesterday and it sounds dumb but my parents think it is like a real bike and wont let me keep it, paid $540 for it, selling for $450 firm!

Can that thing be registered to ride on the street? Looks similar to my old YSR50 from way back in the day.

 

it is not considered a motorized cycle, although it looks like a cycle it is still considered a motorized scooter, does not needto be registered or need m1 license. but you do need to wear a helmet and not ride on rodes that have speed limit over 25mph unless there is a bike lane, and you cannot ride em on the sidewalk. must abide to traffic laws as well... the motor is under 50 cc that is why it is considered a scooter...
