Default my LAST how to/ DIY s... progress sway. + story =( 56k needs to wait

I am forced to come out of the honda scene... h-t is great.. i love how technical this forum is and everybody has been a great help. thanks to you ALL. thanks for your help and I hope I helped out others...

here's my last how to/ DIYs before saturday night's incident....

progress rear sway bar:

1. jack up your car and put your lower rear control arm on jack stands

2. use a wrench to hold the bolt from spining while loosening the bolt that's holding the stock endlinks on the suspension arm

3.loosen the bolt holding the sway bar near the end of the lower control arm towards the middle of the car.

4. sway bars compare

5. put the bushings together as shown here and bolt the end link the the stock location of the stock sway.. do not tighten until everything is in place

other side

6. lube up the 2 biggest bushings for the middle of the bar and snap them in place. Then put the bracket over the bushing as shown

7. bolt on the sway bar to the end links (don't tighten till the end) so it hangs there.. then line up the brackets for drilling (the drilling must go through the other side of the cross member.)

8. once drilling is done. use the bolts and spacers to bolt everything down..

9.once the middle brackets are all nicely bolted down tight .. now it's time to tighten the end links. as for tightening the bushings, tighten it so you can't move the rings by hand. after that make 1 more full turn and you're done

my unfinished DIY 60mm guages installed.. needs touch up ... I wanted to show you guys once I was done... but i guess i won't be able to complete it since yeah... read below...

was about to restart on my audi a6 projector project

my stillen summer bumper/lip waiting patiently to be put on....

and then....

this happens...

the end of accordfreak................

thanks again guys

Damn sorry to hear about your loss. Insurance isn't covering the damage? I'm sure you could find a replacement Accord for pretty cheap and just swap the parts over.

thanks for all the support.. i don't think i'll buy another honda.. too many people want to mess around with you when you don't want to be bothered.

so here's the story...I was cruising along on the freeway at around 70 on the second lane from the left and all of a sudden a stupid POS 88 or so accord started tailgating me even though the left lane was clear.. he was literally couple feet away from my car.. so i let go of the gas. I guess he got pissed and went on the left lane and pulled up beside me and tried to FREAKIN RUN ME OFF THE ROAD!! he swerved into my lane really quick but at the same time i swerved right trying to avoid him and then my car started to lose control. At the same time i wanted to stay in my lane and tried to maintain control by turned back to my lane slightly because i was afraid i might hit someone on my right.. i didn't know whether there were any cars on my right because everything happened in a split second. my car rear was sliding right doing a 180 then my front impacted the concrete center divider hard and then my rear was smashed up against the divider. luckly my friend was driving in front of me because he chased the guy down at 100 mph to get the license plate which he did. So he's also my witness.

on a side note the stupid *** cop was profiling me saying "yeah you have big tachs and gauges (MY GAUGES ARE STOCK!!!!) so I know you know how fast you were going." what an *******. no help at all.. He was saying yeah someone called 911 saying someone was racing at 100+ mph (which was my friend chasing down the guy to get the plate) if your car matches the description and you lie about your speed then I have to take you to jail. I'm thinking WTF? I was not racing! I didn't know my friend was going 100+ until the cops left...

Man that's a shitty story. Thing is, whenever people tailgate my ***, I usually do what you did- slow the hell down to **** him off or make him go around. That guy is a piece of **** for trying to run you off the road. You're lucky you had your buddy w/ you. Good luck w/ that situation and your new car.

sorry to hear about it. dont worry youre not the only one who has to deal with ******** cops when an accident happens.... i had a very similar accident only i got clipped on a rear corner as some dumbass tried to squeeze in behind me... almost died cause it was on the interstate and i regained conciousness and saw my tire tracks just barely miss a bridge beam... cop sent the only witness on his way and wouldnt hear another word... so ya. dont feel too bad ive got **** luck too.

Wow that sucks man I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I understand how you feel though. Sucks when your accused when you weren't the perpertraitor. That cop needs a reality check. That was a lot of hard work down the drain. I remember reading your post about hitting 269hp. Good luck with your next project.

i dont think anyone can quantify what a loss this has been to the accord forum....i know people always marveled at ur stock block 270hp......everyone here has used you as the prime example for the true potential of the f22b engines....best of luck, and remember, your always welcome to hang around ....just dont give up your passion cause of some wannabe jackass stunners in their carbed accords ......glad noone was hurt, and may the phucker burn in hell

I know how you feel on this. When i raced 4wheelers and had about 5 grand invested in parts in it and this noob came over a jump and ran into the back of mine flipping me over bending my axle, handle bars, broke my clutch lever and brake lever and dislocating my shoulder. I did not want to ever ride again after all that, but it was a passion and i got back on it and still enjoyed it. You are a highly respected person on this board and we will always welcome you back.

No, no, no, no. I can't believe this.

Your car was an inspiration to other F-series owners.

Oh man that is a sad story, I hope that guy gets what is coming to him. I remember reading and looking at your car and setup back when I had my Accord and it made me want to keep my F22B1 and turbo it. I am just glad that you are okay. Once again I am sorry for your loss.
