Default ever seen this? h22 w/ b16 intake manifold

A friend of mine is all about doing weird ****. He didnt like the h22 manifold, and since skunk2 doesnt have one out for it, he port matched the b16 to it. Check out these pics. Any comments?

i wonder if the b16 one is big enough to move 2.2L of air? that would be sick if it works but whats the size of the tb's? compared to each other?

I believe the b16 b18 and h22 throttlebodies are the same. I'll keep you guys posted on its performance. Keep the feedback coming!

It's like the b18c manifold, big, clunky, and poorly designed. We'll see how it works though.

Did he check to see if the ports even match up? b/c i have pics of both intake manifold gaskets, and the ports DO NOT line up for the life of them. I wonder what kind of work he did.

ok ok guys, so the b18c and h22 arent poorly designed, just room for improvement I guess. He outlined the the gasket from the h22 on the b16 manfiold and the port matched from there. When I saw it, it was a perfect line up. I'll ask him if he can take it off and show you guys. I'll post the picture if I can catch him before he puts the motor in the hatch.

when you say "all that" it sounds like you mean its a lot of work. But it wasnt. And a type-s manifold would be WAY more expencive than a b16.

lets see here...factors

1) cost
2) it probably flows better than a S because it doesnt have the rough casting surface...its smooth
3) its custom...whats better than saying mines different?

H22 type-s is just about the same as any other h22 h23 dual-runner IM maybe just cast with a finer sand for smoother finish. If you are talking about the single runner H22 IM then you mean the Euro R accord manifold.
