92-95 Civic Radiator in an 88-91, Got an pix, or install help?
Wondering if anybody has any pictures, or has it done to their car. And if it is easy to get it to sit correctly, and what if any mounting fabrications will I need to make to have this work in my car. I have an 88 Hatch, but wanted to use the small radiator so I can re-route some piping and install an intercooler on my car.

there are TONS of threads about this on this site. search. from what i've heard, the 92-95 is too tall and it will have to be tilted backwards if you dont wanna hack into the crossmember.

EG rad fit like crap, you'll have to tilt it backward as hell to be able to close the hood so the turbo piping will not fit anymore. you can get a Jimfab cross member to fit this rad in there however.
the z6 kit fit like a glove, you just have to mess around with the welder and some pipe a bit but nothing major, definatly not something you can do in your driveway... it's a bit heavier than that.
Kranked.

No, but fast cars always have clean engine bays.
You can't work with rust, grease and grime when your building something right.
'tilting' the rad to fit looks 'funny' (and i'm being nice). That braket in that pic looks kick-***.
love the 'speed holes' hehe..

The Z6 kit fit perfectly onto my A6, didnt have to fabricate any piping, only had to cut out a small section of the cross member for the downpipe to fit. THanks for all the posts and help. ANybody familiar with the Z10 Engineering cross member? Wonder if it is similar to the Place cross member.

is that a JDM CRX? what master cylinder/booster is that? why are the shocks sticking so far up out of the shock towers? what intake arm and air box is that? what battery is that
sorry to cockblock the thread, just wondering.
and IMO the Z10 and place racing crossmembers arent as good as the jimfab or full-race bars. the way the z10 bar is designed, it will bind, and the PR bar only replaces the crossmember and not the radius rods.

'binding' (and someone correct me if i'm wrong) is because of the suspension characteristics of the 92+ civic LCA's - with that type of suspension (with the Z10's)your adding in a 2nd pivot point that is not in line with the LCA pivot axis. AND (correct me if i'm wrong again) i think Z10 has corrected this problem.
The EF Z10's are geometrically perfect and pretty damn nice if ya ask me, this will not be the last time someone will say that Z10s will 'bind' on at EF.

i was not aware that the general design on the EF/ED bars was different then the EG/DC bars. i figured the same company producing products that did the same thing would have the same design
. but whatever, i was mistaken then.
i have no personal experience with the z10 bars myself since i have the jimfab bars. i picked jimfab over z10 because its cheaper and does the same exact thing.
i was going by the info in this thread over at hondaswap since i have no personal experience with z10...

but if its alright with you, i dont wanna cockblock this thread any further since its about radiators and not traction bars

^^^^this man has by far the best overall EF I have ever seen. His car is just as clean as the engine bay. this man is the reason I have dumped so much money in my beater.....I guess I don't understand that it is a beater and isn't supposed to be hooked-up.
