Just wondering what the best times anyone has ever done w/ a sohc motor

 

I ran a 14.8 w/ a blown headgasket, bad rings, and the check engine light blaring...not to mention gettin no traction through 1st or 2nd, then bouncing off the rev limit in 3rd

 

I know a guy from around my area that has a sohc with a turbo. At 10psi he hit a 12.45 in his little itty bitty hatch.

 

bizi ezerio's crx runs low 11's all motor and so does jay yuson's crx. jason whitfields turbo 1.5 ran low 10's.

 

Ahhhh SOHC power I'll be in the mid/low 14's all day with my stock internal D16 when I'm "done" with my setup (still I start screwing with it some more), and this will be on my itty bitty toy turbo at only like 8-10psi, full interior, 90k+ miles, the works

 

I've seen a SOHC w/ Greddy turbo run mid 13's. The greddy turbo is not that big either so more can be had with a better turbo.

My bro's 94 CX hatch with a stock 1.6 sohc vtec and greddy turbo at 8 psi ran a 13.5 @ 100.9 mph on stock tires, full interior, and a 3/4 tank of gas on a 80 degree day. On a cooler day and with less weight that'd be a 13.1-13.3 or so on stocks. With slicks it'd be in the high 12's @ only 8-9 psi. And at 12 psi or so it'd be mid 12's. Not bad for a sohc w/ the tiny greddy turbo, eh?

 

Sweet looking Accord engine bay... that look like an automatic.. I wonder how it runs

i saw him run at carlsbad he ran a 10.1 there he's tooo crazy

 

this guy i know ran a sohc turbo and was shootin for 11s. halfway down while in 3rd gear the tranny blew so the car basically rolled to the finish line and he still pulled a 12.3.

my d16y8 ran 14.2 on 20 psi 60 ft time sucked and my motor used to be bottle fed so now im looking for a A6 bottom end cause i blew a ring landing

what year are you in? that all happened in about 1999 or so, well, i dunno about jason whitfield.

 

After only two passes with the nitrous! times below

 

a guy in Montreal runs 11.90 SOHC turbo power. 19PSI!

 

'Bisi Ezerioha runs consistant 10.3's @ 130+mph.
