B&M Short Shifter
Well, my question is does anyone have experience with the B&M shifter with the "pivot cup" that comes with it instead of using the rubber one that comes stock? Does it provide any more positive feel?
Currently i'm running a skunk2 dual bend and am looking for something with a bit shorter throw, and basically something different.
i'm not interested in anyone interjecting with comments about how short shifters are bad and all that crap. I just want information on this particular shifter. Part# 45074. Seems the only thing i dont like is they don't use a bearing in the bottom, but instead a delron bushing.

I have it and I love it. I have used the skunk2 dual bend and I personally like the B&M best. A few of my friends have the skunk2, dc sports, and a few others and everyone likes mine best.
Did you have any problems with the shifter being "too forward" since there's no bends? I can't decide between the skunk dual bend and the B&M. Is one shorter than the other? I always thought the DC was the shortest for our cars.
Sorry to jack the thread.

The DC sits the lowest... At first the shifter feels a little "forward", but after using it for a little I really don't feel too much of a difference between that and the Skunk2. The B&M is definately the nicest throw.
Side note: I hear some people complain about the B&M rattling, but mine never did anything like that.

my skunk 2 shifter actually rattles. I was thinking this was partly due to that rubber pivot housing, because i know mine is pretty much shot. THe B&M just seems like a high quality piece so, i think it would be a good choice.
I am not sure if the type-r shifter is any shorter, but I dont think it is, if it is, its not much at all.
