Default Which tires for my HX wheels

I am putting my HX wheels on soon and it has factory tires on it and I was wondering which tires should I put on them. What size brand and that kind of stuff so that they will look good. I am up for suggestions. I will be driving back and forth to school on them so take that into consideration also. Thanks

James

Yoko AVS ES100s. I had Azenis and they were nosiy as ****. Both suck in the snow/ice though.

EDIT: My Azenis were 195/60/14s

Wrong on both counts. HX rims are 14s. I know, I ride on them daily. Don't spread the misinformation.

They're sticky as hell, but are noisy and don't last long. That's why I didn't recommend them for driving back and forth to school. If I EVER get another set of Azenis (I'd buy the Ziex 512s, but they don't make them in a 14) they'll be a track use only set of tires/rims.

I just purchased a set of new tires for my HXs about two weeks ago. I'm using mine for just daily driving. It doesn't seem that you are looking for any sort of performance change so I would advise just getting a 195/60-65/14 tire. I picked a set of Douglas Performance. Been through dry weather and bad rain with them, no problems whatsoever as of now. Got on open road in the rain and even tested them through standing water as well at about 45 mph. Regular rain seemed good to about 75mph. Dry driving is fine, no excess noise, but I wouldn't notice with the radio on anyway. I picked up the tires, mounted and balanced for just shy of $210. Again, these were not purchased for performance, but I wanted an idea of how the tires would react in either situation if need be prepared. So just purchase something with a decent tread life and in the area of 60-65 profile and I don't think you will have any issues with rubbing or looks of the amount of tire on the wheel.

Vx wheels are 13's
Hx wheels are 14's

So pretty much what size would look good. I do want a smaller tire but not a rubber band you know. Also I do want a better performance tire just not one that will wear out in a month. Does Falken make a tire that is better for driving than the Azenis I guess they are. I want something that will hook up good but not gummy and really soft. Pretty much like a little softer and shorter than normal but not to the extreme.
