Default R-compound: where to buy

I've been autocrossing on r-compound tires for a year now on a set of V700s that i bought used. im now looking to buy a new set of r-comps.

Where, other than tirerack.com, can i buy r-compound tires? i would just like to compare prices.

btw, ive also found Phil's tire service, and tires.com- only the yokohamas.

thanks in advance

The Tire Rack rocks. Great prices, great service, and you can get stuff like heat cycling and shaving done there too.

That being said... they don't carry a couple of brands of R compound tires (Toyo RA-1 and the new Hankook tire) or the Falken Azenis Sport.

Here are other places I found that carry the Toyo RA-1, when I was doing my research:

The Tire Rack - U.S. (IN, NV) - 888-541-1777
AIM Tires - U.S. (CA) - 707-938-9193
Appalachian Race Tire - U.S. (TN) - 865-681-6622
CJ's Tires - U.S. (PA) - 610-404-0224
Frisby Performance Tire - U.S. (IL) - 800-798-7201
Phil's Tire Service - U.S. (NY) - 845-429-8943
Radial Tire - U.S. (MD) - 301-585-2740
Sports Car Tire - U.S. (DE) - 800-752-TIRE
Vilven Tire (no website) - U.S. (IL) - 800-251-0017 or 888-77-KUMHO
Bob Woodman Tires - U.S. (SC) - 843-571-2277
OnLineTires.com - ??? - 877-465-8473
1010tires.com - Canada (BC) - 888-825-MAGS
Talon Tire - Canada (QC) - 514-337-0833

EDIT: I added Phil's and Woodman's to the list - and also the Tire Rack, even though they don't carry Toyo, just so that the list is complete.

If you want to keep your money local... Bap Geon on Broad Street will usually match or beat Tire Rack's prices (definitely on wheels, usually on tires also)

You left bob woodman off of your otherwise excellent list: 843-571-2277 in charleston SC.

It would be great if someone could add this list to the faq

Okay, I edited my earlier post to add Phil's and Woodman's - and also the Tire Rack - so there's now one list, with everyone, including links and numbers etc.

I didn't add any of the tracks (I think there are others that sell tires, too - Sears Point, I think) just because you're not likely to get tires from any particular track except if you're going to be at an event there (no?).

Good list.... I have been very happy with the service I received from Frisby, and now that they are supporting this site I am very happy to recommend them for your tire needs.

Thanks for listing us on the Race dealer contact sheet. (Frisby Performance Tire) I just started sponsoring the site, (Swift-Speed) so now I'll be around to answer any questions. One update, we have a store in Las Vegas, Sierra Tire: 1.702.433.7390.

I've got toyos and hoosiers available. We ship anywhere. We will be at the majority of CenDiv SCCA races as is usual. Also we are the the exclusive tire dealer at BlackHawk farms.

Quick plug for great new product, you might see the banner. It is the CG-Lock. Perfect for you Autocross guys who don't want the hassle of the full seat belt set-up but want to be held tight during runs. Check it out at our website http://www.frisbyractire.com. Follow the CG lock banner.

Thanks again for the good words and look forwad to helping out.

Nope, no mounting... when we need it we use Delta V ( http://www.deltavmotorsports.com )
