Testing Waters: Might need to sell my CRX
Hey guys I'm getting tired of having a ghetto machine and my dad is going to give me $2,500, and my mom another $1,000 if I sell my car and buy something respectable. (It's incentive for me to finally buy a non-project car)....
So I'm trying to figure out how much I could get for my CRX. So here we go.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PM ME! I OFTEN DON'T UPDATE THIS POST BUT LOTS HAPPENS WHILE I'M WORKING ON IT!
1991 Honda CRX Si
157,000 Chassis Miles
Exterior
Black
Black 15% Tinted Windows
Amber on the tail lights painted to match the red
Black housing corner lights
Body damage
:
Lip ripped on one side away from the bumper (they were originally "molded" with a bondo job thanks to the previous owner)
Door is rubbing on fender, but still getting good seal
A few nickel-and-dime sized dents throughout the car
Both front fenders have pretty hefty dents on them, might need to be replaced since the drivers side one rubbs the door.
Sunroof isn't 100% tight
Door handles have been pryed out by an attempted theif so they could use some bondo.

This picture isn't all that accurate so I will try to get something better. It now has a non-bent (but still not fitting correctly, althought it closes and opens fine thanks to the body damge) blue hood. I will probably be rattle-canning the hood black soon.

I would say it's in poor-fair condition. I'm not 100% sure about the frame, but the car drives fine which I hear is the easiest way to tell.
Interior
Full Interior including all hatch panels.
Custom 3 Gauge Housing where the center vents were (looks nice take it from me): Autometer Air/Fuel Ratio, Autometer (Electric) Oil Pressure (with Amber back light to represent Oil), Autometer (Electric) Water Temp (with Clear back light to represent Water).
Acura Integra Steering Wheel (no horn though
)
Pioneer CD player with XM radio capable.
Custom Radiator switch.
Civic SiR badge in center of dash
Full Alarm with 2 clickers, 4 different sensors throughout the body, door sensors, steering rack sensor

Suspension
Ground Control Adjustable Coilover springs
Tokico Blue shocks
Nuespeed Strut Tower Bar (Front) Not installed still in my garage
Stock wheels
Brand New Falken Ziex tires with about 1,000 miles on them.
Engine (LS/VTEC):
It's an 11.2:1 High Compression LS/VTEC, it has 600 miles on it. This is basically the engine broken down when it was built.
B18a Block, 88,000 Miles total on block
B18a (PR4) Rods
B16a (PR3) Pistons (High compression)
JE High Performance Piston Rings
B18c1 (GSR) Cams
B16a Head (Don't know the mileage)
Golden Eagle LS/VTEC Dowel Pins
Stealthmode Racing VTEC Oil Line
Brand New Headgasket at time of build
Brand New Rod Bearings
Brand New Timing Belt
Brand New Oil Pan Gasket
2000 B16a2 Oil Pan and Oil Pickup and Pan Shield
2000 B16a2 Oil Pump (Cancles the ol' LS/VTEC oil curse)
B18c1 (GSR) Head Bolts
B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator
5Zigen Fireball Muffler on 2.5" Full Cat-Back Exhaust (Mandrel Bend)
Gutted Catalytic Converter
Hasport Mounts

ECU/Management:
Your Choice:
Virgin JDM PR3 (B16a ECU, you'll need to crank the fuel pressure for this)
or
Chipped PM6 ECU (Rewriteable Chip) Running TurboEdit Fuel Management (Currently Set to Rev to 8100 RPM Hot, with VTEC kicking in at 5,500 RPM thanks to an RPM activated switch).
Drivetrain:
JDM YS1 Cable Tranny
ACT Clutch (New when we did the swap)
DC Sports Short Shifter
Resurfaced Flywheel (I think about 2lbs shaved off)
The car put down 161 whp 125 ft/lb tq baseline (with the PR3 ecu and no tuning) when it was still using the B16a (mild) cams...
Now with the GSR cams and the PM6 TurboEdit management I notice quite a bit more power. I'm guessing around 175-180 whp.
I can't really think of much else to write. I'll try to get some better/new pictures up. Any questions I hope to be able to answer.
Otherwise just write what you think I could sell it for or post a trade even.
If someone was good at body work this could be a pretty cool ride pretty damn quick...
-Thanks, Josh

Thanks dude. Yeah the fact that they are different colors really helps when you're just looking over quick to read the difference between oil or water. Anyways... anyone got any estimates?
LOL the point of this is to give me an idea of the type of return I can get for my rex.. not for me to name what I'm asking because I don't even know if I'm willing to sell it until I hear the right words!
