1 i got a alarm from ebay THESE DUDES JACKED IT ALL UP And it keeps killin batterys.

I paid 100 for instalation and they did not hook up like 5 wires and some grounds are not even grounded out ? These dudes are the most folly workers ive seen . Ive told the bbb,and when the bbb contacted this jackass he called me threatning me, so i called the b.of .audio and i got this guy w me to screw these dudes over for folly workin and Threatning a paying coustomer AND THEY ALREADY HAVE SOME COMPLAINTS SO THIS DUDE CAN DEFINITLY OPEN THIS CASE UP ............................SO IF YOU WANT A STEREO THEN DONT GO TO THIS JACKASS STORE!

How do you know it is an installation problem, maybe your ebay alarm is a piece of ****. If you know all the connections are incorrect why didnt you install it your self? How well did you check these guys out before you used them?

Guys, please check out these shops before you let them do work. Are any of their guys certified? Does the shop look as though it is ran by professionals?

 

which location was this? I had my viper 2 way 690 installed at the one in clairemont....it took awhile but mine works flawlessly..keyless entry..pager..the antenna install is nice and out of the way...and very clean with the wire routing...

I even considered going back to have them install a trunk release solenoid for me as a finishing touch. Now the alarm I installed was pretty complicated with the numerous features it has... I don't know what happened but as someone said earlier...maybe it's the ebay alarm.

uhm... you get what you pay for...

my alarm wasn't cheap...but it was the least expensive parts/labor price I found in san diego...and like I said...mine works great, and the install is very nice and clean.

Think about it....if you've put a lot of time and money into your car..why protect it with a 12 dollar alarm? I pay more than that for lunch.

A good rule to follow is

"buy your gear at the same place that is going to install it"

That way,even if you get a crappy installer,they will at least be familiar with the product, and if it fails, warrenty is no problem.

Always ALWAYS know whos working on your car. Make sure they are actually ceritifed professionals and have paperwork to prove it, not "we are trained professionals, and can install anything for a great deal", "trained professionals" you mean, "hmmm blue wire? never seen this before... lets try that here." Watch your back.

 

That is what ebay if for. Shops that have **** laying around that dont work sell on ebay. You may as well call it Fleabay, hell at least you see who screwed you at the flea market.

oh my god, finally someone who knows what they are talking about on here ive been working in car audio for 10 years and ever since the evilnet people keep bringing in this WACK *** equipment expecting it to work as well as the stuff we stand by for a "reasonable" price they dont under stand alot of the better car audio companys have alot to loose when a product dosent work thats why they have dealers that are factory trained to install there product im sure the 12.00 alarm company dosnt care about there product i meant its 12 bucks its worthless listen up people buy from your local retailer they know wht they are doing and most of them actually WANT to do a good job they dont want a bad rep either just my 12 cents

i got my alarm done at car audio heaven before on my civic coupe took them hella long and shiet but it came out good.

i just recently did my own alarm bought off of ebay and i did it better and quicker with every options and power door lock costing me only 70 total for the prestige alarm and its my first time doing it too.

i'm sensing a lot of hostility towards this board and i think the main cause is the fact that this problem arose because you are cheap, and are having a problem with a POS alarm that you bought. Some members pointed this out and its not an acceptable answer for you.
