Nice, someone got this unlocked!
I've already taken the liberty of adding this thread/topic to the FAQ thread.

No prob, thank you as well. I'll futz with it later when I get home to make it a bit clearer. IM me if you want me to break them up or edit it in another way.

Just FYI, ALL of the information I listed above origionally came from HondaTech, I just formatted it differently and used it on another site when I modded there but have since moved on.

Credit for the three lists above must go to:

probinu,
Drumsy (blzn_saddles),
rufus, &
Accord_Type-R

Not neccessarily in that order, I'll fix that later. And some members are from here, others from SuperHonda.

I'm looking for the engine code for a 1986 Honda Prelude, but it doesn't seem to be listed on this site or any other...Is it an F20?
It is a 1986 Prelude 2.0 SI (FI), any help would be appreciated. My brother wants to know if a B20 will bolt up to his Prelude tranny...

Best I could come up with is that an 88 2.0 Si Lude has an engine code of B20A5 (same for a 90).

But he says it is an SOHC, so it couldn't be any of the B20 series engines...
Was the F20 fuel injected?

Ok, I know I didn't ask this question in the Honda Prelude Forum, I just didn't want to start a whole new thread to answer a single question if I could avoid it. This is a thread about engine codes, so I thought posting here would be fine.
Searching turns up nothing, should I go start a thread in the Honda Prelude forum?

Uhh, actually origionally this was a post to tell all new guys to use the Search function if they wanted to discover the CW, PY, FBP and NBP paint codes amongst other things.

We just kinda took it upon ourselves to be a bit creative with Soupies post.

But, I guess our tom foolery (all puns intended) and trying to make something productive happen in the process somehow digressed even further than we might have originally imagined.

After further scouring, I came up with the exact same results as Ed.

I'd suggest taking this to the Prelude forum.

Best of luck.

PS thanks for showing to the party so fashionably late Ken. Maybe you could shed some light for this lost soul?

Nope. Quite aside from the fact that he's going to take it to the Prelude forum where it belongs, I checked the website I usually use for looking up engine codes, and it only goes as far back as the '87 Prelude.
