well what is your WHP and TQ goals or current power right now... that will tell us what clutch you need.
If you D16 is less than 150tq then stick with Exedy Sport clutch. Best bang for the buck! Do no get the Exedy OEM replacment cause it will be only as good as a stock clutch.
Do search on Exedy in the current and ARCHIVED files!

unless you have more than 150 ft/lbs of tq. then you don't need anything more than a stock clutch, even in a race car. Those "heave duty, or race clutches" only cause more stress and wear to driveline parts. Because the stronger clutches will grab a lot more firm and suddenly there is more of a "shock" to critical parts.
The exedy organic clutches are great because they have a bit greater clamping capacity of the pressure plate but the clutch disk will engage with the same smoothness as a stock clutch, therefore giving you the best of both worlds... clamping power and smooth engagements.

Just got one from them a few weeks ago. They treated me right. My first order got mixed up and I ended up with a ACT Prolite Flywheel and an Exedy Organic Clutch from them at a more than awesome price. Can't beat their customer service. Fast shipping too!

I'd say more for race. If the car is a daily driven car then I wouldn't ever get a clutch that "grabs" too greatly because it will cause unnecessary strain to your driveline.
Although, if your one of those riceboi's that like to "power-shift", street race and all that 16 year old bullshit, then all my advice is meaningless. But I don't think you're that kind of driver.

Seriously i say get the Exedy Organic clutch. Its perfect for street and still grips really nice for racing. CLutch pedal feels totally stock. Also its a lot cheaper than ACT's and all the rest.

I haven't gone to the strip with mine yet but it feels great with my new exedy organic. Not too strong, no harsh engagments, but it grabs when it's told to. For the price you'll pay for an ACT or Clutchmaster's you could get an exedy organic and probably a lightened flywheel to help! $100 through clutchcityonline via ebay or call em for the clutch. the act prolite flywheel is like $230. I bet if you call and ask for a lower price you'll get it. I know there's a good profit margin cuz he told me what his cost is for the two pieces I mentioned.

If you're staying NA, go with OEM or an OEM-spec (or close) replacement. All an upgraded clutch will do is make the car less pleasant to drive and cause unnecessary shock to the drivetrain and engine mounts . . . not to mention, EFs have been known to break clutch pedal mounts when stiff pressure plates are used.
If you're using power-adders, then your clutch needs will depend on the amount of power you intend to make.
A lightened flywheel is a good thing to consider while you're replacing the clutch.

Actually no, even if you stay N/A and race your car, dont race on the stock clutch (At least for long), thats just asking for it to fail. OEM clutches dont do very well when you race on it (i guess Type R's and the like would hold up a little better). My DA stock clutch (which was replaced a month before i bought the car) just crapped out on me. The springs in the stock disc pop out if you drive hard on them a lot. Its happend numerous times to other people. Not all aftermarket clutches and pressure plates engage hard, thats why theres different models/stages. Exedy organic feels totally stock, no extra strain on the clutch pedal, and it doesnt grip super hard like a higher stage clutch would. BUT, it does hold more power and is designed to be raced on. I guarantee you, if you get an Exedy organic you WILL be happy with the results. (Damn i sound like an Exedy salesman
). Trust me, having your stock or OEM replacement clutch go out on you unexpectedly is a bitch, and thats how it happens most of the times, totally out of the blue. Caught me off guard, so now my cars just sitting there.
And no, the Exedy organic didnt make my car any less pleasent to drive, it actually made it MORE pleasent to drive, since i knew i could beat it up and itll still be there for more.
