By him merely asking about carbon fiber doors for his street car, I hope he buys them. In fact, I hope he buys the ones without the undersupport.
Darwin will take it from there.

1 year after you buy those doors they will look like Crap or maybe less time than that!
but i guess you want them for weight reduction! so the look wont matter to you!

The CF doors could be do able, however, you would have to make a roll bar with protection for the cabin. Have some kind of cage around the door area. It would make it pretty intresting to get in and out of, but it would be alot like getting into a go kart or something like that.
Most turing cars like the m3's at LeMans have CF doors, however, they have cages all around them.
As for looks, they probally would look like crap real soon, which is why you should paint them. If you put CF doors, CF hood, CF trunk, and in the sol's case, CF top, your car would look ugly. Just paint everything to match.
If your doing this for looks
if you doing this for serious weight reduction
Just do it the right way. Safty that you remove, should be replaced

why would you want to reduce the weight of the middle of a sol?? the weight in the middle of the sol is what makes them handle good.

your wasting your money. CF bumpers and fenders weigh almost the same as stock, and on top of that, if they make them the proper way, they will weigh more.

Have them made from Carbon Kevlar and get some NASCAR door bars integrated into your cage and move your drivers seat as far center as you can. You'll be straight......if this was a racecar. It's absurd to do on a street car.
