Yea, i was using a 14mm socket (wrong kind) to get out the rear top strut bolt, because im installing a rear tower bar. And after i realized it was the wrong socket it's stripped, so anyone have any experiences with the gator grip? What else can i use to get out stripped bolts? thanks
Total crap.
Try the Sears/Craftsman Screw-Out (I think that's the name). It's about $20 and is great for getting stripped screws/bolts out.

Ya, I've had awesome luck with the Craftsman Bolt-out tool. The dumbass who installed my cams ended up stripping my timing belt tensioner bolt, and the ONLY thing that was able to get it off was the Craftsman tool. Don't waste your time with a Gator Grip

Whats up J man... If you stripped it on the strut tower... you stripped a nut not a bolt... You may need to resurface it, hammer on a std socket, get a good breaker bar and hope for thebest..

it's easy -- it's basically a socket with teeth in it. you use it pretty much the same way you would use a regular socket.
