I've removed my spare tire, jack, rear seats, and passenger seat. Besides the carpet what should be the next thing to go?

Is it possible to keep my speakers intact? Is there any threat of rust since the car is more openly exposed?
nope not more of a threat, but lightweight parts can be next, hood, spolier off, and rims...the brackets on the dash that hold electronics together can rust...cause i've seen my friends all rusted up

Time to lose weight. Can you eat carrots and crackers for a while?

is it mental or real? i just removed 45lbs. of two golf bags, shoes, etc(in there for a month)...and call me crazy but the damn car feels quicker and responsive.

I don´t think taking of the front bumper is good. You will ahve way more air resistance.

I think on weight saving depends on how extreme you want to go. You can remove powersterring, AC, radio and speakers, inside panels, rear wiper, SRS airbags driver and passenger and replace with lighter non SRS wheel, replace driver seat with CF seat.
If you want to go even futher you can get JDM front end and go with Fibre glass front bumper and get aero Carbonfibre fenders and hood, acrylic side and rear hatch window replacements and doors and rear hatch fibre glass.
I believe you can go as light as you want as long as you can pay for it as everything cost money..that and you can lose weight but I believe you have to lose 7lbs to gain 1hp in your power to weight ratio.

I run full interior, a/c, p/s, and my coupe is a slug. Dynamat everywhere, sparco seats, and a full sound system. And all the parts where they belong for safety.
Sure, it's not the fastest car on the block, but I'm never embarassed to take my girl out to dinner or go for long drives in my car. Ah, driving to Vegas is a dream, and it's so quiet at 120mph!!!
I may get beat in 1/4 mile runs off the bottle, but at least I do it in style, and it doesn't sound like a soda can when I shut the door.
"Kertang!!!"
Get an Euro front and rear bumper. The USDM bumpers are too heavy (due to the 5 mph crash test requirements). A stock Euro ITR weighs only 1100 kg (2420 lbs)!!!!!!
don't gut everything keep the car looking nice.
no more taking things out,
just replace things,
racing seats, carbon fiber everything, jdm center console, jdm windshield
everything else
